Some rude nurses that judge you if you’re a young mom and also very rude doctors. Took my daughter here when she was sick for over a week, bad cough, wasn’t eating anything, High fever, rash. The doctor came in for maybe 2 minutes and said “there are thousands of other people out there like this, just give her cough syrup and Tylenol” and left. There are some really nice nurses and some good doctors but more often then not you get rude ones. I suggest going to Yuba docs instead if you’re able to

They don't care about their patients only their paychecks. I was informed I had blood in my urine and when I asked what might cause this I was told stomach cancer, nothing else. So for over a week, while i waited to hear about test results, i was terrified i had cancer. I did some research and found that there a multitude of reasons there could be blood in urine but none of them were mentioned to me by the physician. On multiple occasions my paych meds were incorrectly dosed. If you can avoid this place do so.

Being new to the area and to WSMC, I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was from start to finish. I was greeted with a smile and the receptionist was both helpful & knowledgeable. The wait to be seen was longer than expected, but the nurse explained the problem faced prior to my appointment and went above and beyond while going over my medical history and medications. Meeting with a new doctor is a very intimate thing and I was totally at ease meeting with Dr. Bauer! I was made to feel welcome... important... she looked me in the eye while getting to know one another and explained everything in detail so I could understand. I look forward to our future appointments with confidence and a sense of calm at finding a perfect match from the first moment.

Worst medical providers EVER. I have been having some health issues and my doctor flat out told me that nothing was wrong and that I was neurotic and had anxiety. Turns out I have a Cyst on my liver. The staff are very unprofessional and the so called a "patient advocate" Cassie, is more like a Dr advocate and will not listen to anyone about their issues. The had a Dr there named Dr Penner who was seriously incompetent and careless. Beware of this place at all costs. They're aren't many choices in Grass Valley because no GOOD Dr wants to live or work here
Feedback:
Worst experience with western sierra, the front desk refused to see my 3 day old baby with jaundice. The girl was really unprofessional and quite rude and we will be moving our children to a different doctors office so we dont have to deal with the inexperienced doctors/secretary. I reccomend if you have to go to this facilility, JUST DONT!

If I could give negative stars, I would. This place is absolutely despicable, all they care about is getting their money from the insurance, or you paying out of pocket. Who ever runs this place should be completely ashamed!!! They treat urgent care patients like livestock, and all of their staff take lunch at the same time?? Have they ever heard of a staggered lunch schedule?? There were at least 20 people in urgent care today, but the staff had all gone to lunch, making so many wait a hour, plus some more to get any help. Today, I had to remind the lady to put my name on the sterile urine sample cup, because last time they didn't, giving me false information. After waiting about a hour and a half in a room, the doctor said he'd prescribe me antibiotics and to pick it up on my way home. I go to my pharmacy only to be told there's nothing there. I call Western Sierra's line for them to tell me "They don't send out prescriptions till after hours." I wait about four more hours, only for my pharmacy to say, nothing was sent to them. Now, I wait another day with a raging internal infection that makes it impossible for me to function as a human being. This medical clinic to me has become notorious for the multiple lies that it tells its patients. I am disgusted, I will never come here again because of all the money hungry system that they live by. Please do not take your kids , or parents, or any human being here. This place would treat rodents better than they treat paying patients.
Feedback:
This place is a disorganized mess. I have NEVER had so many problems with a clinic. The doctors tell you one thing, the assistants tell you another. The quality of care is sub par at best. There is one person there that treats people like dirt when you ask for help figuring out insurance issues, her name is Donna. She is the most rude and condescending person I have ever encountered in health care in over 30 years. I have tried to file formal complaints about her treatment but I just keep getting the run around. The administration here needs to do some serious house cleaning before this place can be even remotely decent.
Feedback:
I wouldn’t even go here as a last resort. They are absolutely useless as an urgent care facility. In fact, the morbidly obese and overly-caffeinated Dr that saw my four year old insisted that they are not an urgent care facility although it literally reads “Urgent care” on the front of the door to the offices we entered, as well as being broadly advertised as an urgent care facility online. His bedside manner with children was not adequate. He didn’t bother to listen to a word we had to say and he rushed the visit and rushed to his conclusion. This was our second negative experience with Western Sierra. Last time was when our daughter was born and we were seeing a pediatrician before we had decided on one. Both times we were greeted by rude front desk staff. We took my four year old here this time because they open an hour earlier than Yuba Docs, which was a mistake. Yuba docs has always given my family good care when in a pinch and we can’t go to our general practitioners. It would certainly have been worth the wait this time around as well.Update: The Dr we saw here was adamant that our child only had allergies and dismissed the possibility of something more serious that we specifically asked about. He was wrong. Her test came back positive for a serious childhood infection. I've never encountered a more poorly ran medical facility...

Some things have definitely improved in the last 4-5 years. Im pregnant, and was terrified to find that WSMC was the only place I was able to get an OB in town, as my dealing with them were awful in the past. However, The women's health section of it has really impressed me! I've also been happy to see communication has improved there. I always get called back. The people at the front desk also seem to work a little harder to help, and get you in ASAP. The only thing I've had an issue with this time around is actually getting help for thing outside Women's Health. My OB told me to go to urgent care for my leg pain 8 weeks ago, and a nice doctor there noticed a huge knot and told me to come back if it's not better in a week. 3 weeks later, a lot of pain, and lots of failed attempts to be seen at urgent care, I finally called to just make an appointment. They got me in to see a doctor who had a cancellation that day, because my leg was so bad. He said the same thing (it's a knot, caused my the relaxins from pregnancy) and referred me to physical therapy, and told me to call back in a week and do a follow-up in 4 weeks. Called back, to find that I have a different primary who wouldn't sign off on the referral, and is having me wait until the follow up with her (who I've never met) so she can see for herself before putting the referral through! I'm not too pleased at the idea that after 8 weeks trying to fix this, having it get worse the more my baby grows, I'm still being made to wait just so a different doctor can feel the knot herself 🙄. I would think getting the patient help ASAP, would be top priority. Anyway, women's health section is great. It's the other doctors playing ping pong with the patients, prolonging the patient's healing, that I'm not too happy with.

If I could leave no stars, I would. This is the worst Drs office I have ever encountered. The front desk ladies are extremely rude. I am at the Drs office right now and I was standing at the counter checking my 2 month old daughter in, and one of the ladies at the front desk said to me " how are we supposed to bill for her appointments if you don't have her medi-cal card?" With this HORRIBLE attitude! My exact response was " I don't know how YOU'RE supposed to bill for her appointment when she hasn't gotten medi-cal card yet." Every single question I have asked, has been met with a complete unwillingness to give me ANY answers or help in ANY way. She pooped all over herself while I was waiting in line so I changed her and asked for a bag to put her dirty clothes in. The automatic response was no, I couldn't have a bag to put her poopy clothes in. I hate this doctor office.
