I have seen Dr. Adams for years -- my son he birthed is now 15. I find Dr. Adams to be quite competent! Bedside manner is not the specialty of many doctors (as other reviews suggest), but this should not affect your judgment of his skill.After I had my tubes tied, my insurance ran out. I had complications, and Dr. Adams saw me at no charge in his office to address the issues. He cares about his patients, and did an excellent job for my son (born C-section).Keep in mind that doctors are late to appointments because they are attending to patients at the hospital. If you had an emergency that required Dr. Adams to go to the hospital, can you imagine his saying, "I'm sorry -- I have to leave this emergency to go do a sonogram in my office" ?? A doctor who births babies is likely to be late sometimes -- he was for me a few times -- and he was perfectly on time to birth my son.Keep in mind young ones that Dr. Adams will serve you well! He cares about his patients. A small Dixie cup? Old fashioned ways? I'll take them every time over some boutique doctor who cares more about the scented candles and creating a "spa" office.

After one visit I had to change doctors. The pap hurt so much I cried in the car to my husband on the phone. I'm a child of a retired obgyn who delivered my first child. I know how a pap is suppose to feel . Even my second baby in so Cal wasn't bad. At 9 weeks there was no heart beat check which is horrible. He made no lab request and gave no vitamins. One reason I changed docs is he told me to not bring my kids. A new baby is a family pleasure. I'm not going to make them sit at home instead of holding my hand and seeing their new sibling. In three words painful incomplete difficult. Be warned.

Dr. Adams and his staff are very cold and rude! I felt like I had very little care with him being my Dr. Several times my appointments were cancelled and rescheduled by him. I went weeks without an appointment(not my choice) unsanitary he never wore gloves or washed his hands for that matter. Even after giving me a pelvic exam and pap smear. His equipment is ancient and dirty especially the sonogram machine. He changed my due date 3 times was never up to date on any of my labs. I felt like I didn't know what was going on in my pregnancy. I would ask a question and I would get a short vague answer. All in all my experience was plain awful he is the obgyn from hell. I finally at 34 weeks had enough and found a different Dr. Which was difficult transferring so late in my pregnancy.

Worst doctor, I went for my second appointment now and was very dissapointed. It wasn't a pleasant experience with him and hurt. My bf came with the second time for the sonogram they took an hour and half to see us when we had an appointment and we're the only ones there. During all of it he wasn't very nice, he began the sonogram and typed my name in wrong. My by spoke up and said something but he said. "IT DONT MATTER." He didn't bother to fix it and he was still typing while my bf said something. He's mad that a doctor with all my paper work in front of him still spells my name wrong and doesn't bother to fix it when we would like to put in a photo album. What would I tell my kid you got delivered by a guy who couldn't even spell my name when the little one is looking at photo albums wandering why mommy name is not spelled right.

This was my first time going to see a OBGYN much less my first pregnancy, I was scared and nervous especially how i had to go into the er at 9 weeks and then was put on bed rest for a week until my intimidate fallow up with Dr. Fred Adams. He gave me a pap which hurt really bad even when relax. He just shoved the tool he was using inside of me and i could feel it scraping the walls of my vagina. He Left the door open as he walked in and out freely for whatever reason. He didn't answer any of my questions and told me i was fine and to do what i want except sex. I was happy the bleeding and cramps had stopped but that was only temporary. a few hours later it stared back up. i was okay not in to much pain so i did as he said, Went back to work and everything was fine untill Friday, December 13th, around 4 am I was woke out of my sleep by a horrific lower abdominal and lower back pain. sadly a few hours later i had a full miscarriage right in my bathroom. I didnt know what to do. i wasnt sure if i should go to the er or what all i knew is i was in excruciating amount of pain and so much blood kept coming out. I went to the Er and got check and the today December 26th, i went to see doctor Adams. He came in asked me a few questions checked me. and told me,word for word, "You had a miscarriage. Oh well you will get pregnant again so who cares pee in this cup and that's all.Have a good day"and then he walked out. How lovely. He is the most insensitive doctor i have ever met in my life. Also the room had dirty tissue paper on the counters and the cups to pee in are little Dixie water cups. the restroom was dirty.And of course he left the door open once again while i was undressed. it was just a horrible experience i just walked out and left. i will never go back to him or recommend this OB to anyone. He is just horrible.
