This place needs to do MUCH better about keeping everyone safe. They can't enforce mask wearing, so they need to check temps, encourage mask wearing often (many put it below their noses or take them off), and limit how many people are in the gym. It's fairly packed in some areas, in particular the weight area in front. Right now I can easily walk in, wave my phone in the air, and they let me in without verifying reservation.

When I went last Friday for the first time since the quarantine, I was surprised that they had no temperature scanning device. All you needed to get in was show them your cell phone confirmation, and that you were wearing a face mask. While working out I noticed at least half a dozen people on the cardio equipment (treadmills & stair steppers) either we're not wearing their face mask or had it pulled underneath their chin so that their mouth and nose were not covered. One guy was not even wearing a face mask nor did I see that he even had one. I complained to the two ladies at the front desk and they did nothing. I now wear an n95 mask and gloves when I go. I also found out the hard way that you can't take a shower. The Pool and sauna are closed.

The monthly payment its very high but I have to go there because its the only place near to me with child care. And you have to pay an extra amount for that service, plus the first and the last month for both in your first payment there (the monthly payment and the monthly child care), plus the annual fee! Thats a lot!! And the fact is that sometimes I have to come back home because they dont have enough people at the child care!!!!!

This is the only 24 hour fitness in El Cajon...not worthy of the Super Sport title. When you come in or leave they dont even greet you. The machines are often broken and outdated, the paper towels were empty an entire two weeks, bathrooms are dirty. This gym no longer has towel service but prices are the same..go elsewhere your money will definitely be spent better.

This place is always pleasant to come to . The staff is so sweet and they all remember you as a member . The trainers are all well educated and committed to their clients . I’ve worked with David Carr and DJ as trainers and I have been very happy with my results as their client. They have a daily gym keeper always working hard to keep things clean . They have updated and brought in new equipment too . Great work here .

Not impressed by any of the 24 hour fitness centers. If you are not paying a fortune for “personal training” they could care less if you are there or not! I felt like I was in a used car dealership when I needed help and was told I would have to pay upgrade fees to use the clubs that are now “Super” sport clubs. Some people can only do certain activities like the aqua classes, but the management could care less about these members. Cancelled classes, broken equipment, no teachers, etc. is a disservice to our communities and to the members that faithfully pay their membership fees to maintain and improve their health through the physical and social interaction that is not a free service. 24 hour fitness should be more accountable for their fitness clubs. Very disappointed.

If you are experienced in the gym, and are looking for a place where you can get in your workout with all the needed equipment and not be bothered, this is a solid gym. The only issues I can even think of is a couple (literally 2 or 3) of the machines are a little rickety and a lot of the members don't wipe machines after use. They have one smith machine plus 6 squat racks including their training area which has 4 olympic lifting stations, each with a pull up bar. They also have soft boxes, a ton of kettlebells, battle ropes, and a TRX station. For whatever reason, all that is hard to find in East County, so I'm super about it.If you're new to the gym, but you're looking to invest in training to learn, they have great personal trainers. They also have classes that come with memberships that are good for beginners. However, if you like the planet fitness/crunch vibe where it's really focused toward beginners who are figuring things out on their own, it's colorful and flashy, and they're happy to walk you through things - not saying all of the 24 hour staff isn't like that, I just wouldn't say it's not the overall vibe here - then this gym might not be your favorite.I personally love this gym. I did trial memberships at 4 different gyms in the area when I moved here from Chula about a year ago, and this one is by far my favorite. I really like the staff, and I've also trained with one of their trainers (Emily) and had a great experience.Every gym is a little different in their equipment, crowd, and attitude. This one is the right fit for me. :)

Wanted to love this place but couldn't. Equipment is pretty old, not maintained well despite an on-site technician and even their own clients complained about the cleanliness. All of which would be fine if the pricetag was $20-30 cheaper. It seemed like their own sales people recognized the gym wasn't up to par either since they kept trying to tell me about other 24 hour fitness gyms nearby. This was despite me repeatedly telling them I didn't care about those gyms I was specifically interested in this gyms location. Kept telling me they're swapping they're in the process of upgrading equipment. But that's in the future and I'm looking for a gym whose facility is worth the prices they're charging for a Super Sport gym.Other part that confused me was the primitive method of entering the gym. Finger print and a pin? It's the 21st century - a lot of other gyms have a barcode on a keyring that you can scan that same barcode into your phone or pull it up on the gyms app. On their screen it then pulls up your picture and identity confirmed. A lot faster as well.Salt in the wound was a salesman gives me a follow up call - I explained what happened and asked I not be contacted again. A week later I was contacted, and was told he forgot. I got the impression he wasted my time with the previous weeks phone call. Needless to say, the experience killed my impression of 24 hour fitness after hearing such great things about it through other friends. This location is on par with a discount gyms (some of which are disturbingly better for half the price) and rates need to reflect what they currently offer.

Worst customer service. Machines always broken. And the staff including management could care less to lose a client. $40 yearly fee for what? $43 monthly membership to broken macines, uncleaned machines. So next week I attend Kaiser Pound Pound Challenge were set off too. I think we at Kaiser need to revaluate 24 hour fitness. I can't wait to post the video I took of the machines. Plus they took away towel service to be eco-friendly ok I get it. But dues remain the same.

Worst customer service ever, I visit different gyms all over the country while traveling and this one was the worst. The blondie whom I suppose is the manager is the worst, she seems judgemental and cared less about potential new customers. She gave me and my wife an attitude after we asked for a day pass but their credit card machine was not working and they wouldnt help us in any way to get in without the pass I hope she pass. It is their fault that they cant take credit cards and they should have at least said sorry for the freaking inconvenience that may have caused, but no they acted as if it was our fault and let us leave without using their gym, as if it was disney land
