I only give this place 1star because of an incident that happened to me. First off, let me say that this place has top self product. They have good deals for members and I have never had a problem until the evening of May 23. The staff have always been helpful, even that night, they we're being helpful. If you're still reading this review, you want to know what happened. I was really having a hard time that day. I was stranded. I had no phone, no car, no cash, and I had just been released from jail where I had turned myself in on a traffic warrant. I did have my ID and I had my credit card. I walked in the door at about 7 pm and asked if I could have somebody call me a cab to take me home. I live off of Austin Bluffs and Academy. She called Pikes Peak Cab Company. I thanked her and waited outside for the cab. After about 45 minutes, the cab still hadn't shown up. They had had customers in and out the whole time so it was had to wait until there were no customers to see about the cab. Like I told you, they have excellent product. Finally I got the chance and went in to ask them who they called. I then asked them to call my handicapped wife to see if a friend could come pick me up. My wife has a truamatic brain injury and has a speech impediment. The woman behind the counter couldn't understand my wife and so she printed my red card out so I could enter the shop. My wife told me that she couldn't find our friend and had no one to drive my car to pick me up. I told my wife that I was having a horrible day and I was lower in my life than I had been in a long time. I told her everything seemed to be going wrong that day. No sooner than those words left my mouth, the male budtender told me " Take your problems to 7-11. We don't have time for that s#/t here." I was appalled. I was a member here. I don't know what his problem was but I just wanted to go home to my wife and kid. I thanked him, got off the phone, and left. I've only been back 1 time and that was to pull my membership. I can only imagine how he would treat a non member. I was at the lowest point I'd been in a long time and he kicked me when I was down. It's too bad that 1 bad apple spoiled the bunch for me. I will never recommend or go to Apothecary again.
