All the positive reviews about Home Instead are all employees. Listen to the reviews that speak the truth. Employees either have low IQs or are very lazy. I asked them to send someone else and yet the same unwanted cg is still here. He comes in at 9 am and by 10 am hes sitting on the couch watching T.V just like the last cg. We need someone to care or clean up after my father. I find myself cleaning up after the cg leaves his mess. I wouldn't trust cg alone with my father.

My mom had Hip Replacement Surgery and then 2 days later ended up in Corona Hospital with the Flu. I live in Texas and I was stressed until I found Home Instead. Myrna was my mom's care taker and she was an Angel. I spoke with Jennifer & Beth in the office and they helped me plan a 10 day in home care for my mom. My mom is doing great now and it is all due to Home Instead & Myrna and there help. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone needing in home care/assistance for their loved ones. You need to know this before hiring them. Christmas 2016 Mother went into the next stage of dementia. She had a caregiver 8am to 5pm. But neighbors reported her walking down the street 1am. As I own a retail store and Christmas is my biggest month, I had no time to do research. I hired HISC to do all the shifts other than my Mother's main caregiver during the week. Fortunately the main caregiver reported any/all wrong doings and there were A LOT:-the CG being there to protect Mother from getting up at night and wandering...caught her sleeping-several CGs were fired as they got into verbal and pushing altercations with my Mother-they had to be told to clean up after themselves. They'd bring food and leave all the crud in the kitchen sink.-a sign had to put on the refrigerator that the bottled water was for my Mother - not them.-several CGs were fired because they would just show up, sit down on the couch and do absolutely NO interaction with Mother - just their nose to their cell phone the entire time.The list goes on and on - weekly there was another issue the main CG would report to me and I would report to Kim - oh by the way, the ONE review 5 Star was written by Kim herself.You will spend far too much money on CGs sent by HISC that have had maybe a month's training before being sent out to your parent's home to care for your loved one.Run from them !

I worked for HISC over a year, had clients that complained about other cgs, reported it & HISC would do nothing about it, instead I would hear praises about the cg. HISC doesn't care to work a cg 7 days a week even when asked to be taken off the weekends, all they said is, we're still looking, nothing got done. They don't care about the clients or the cgs, more training needs to be done & in my opinion if the client complains about a cg, you apologize & take action to correct the matter, instead of praising the cg. If a client wants things a certain way because she's blind and lives alone, that's the way it should be, you don't offer to buy her different things to accommodate the cg, you adjust to the clients needs. I believe my 93 yr old client died of stress related to their lack of care, even she used to say "we're all just $ signs to HISC" HISC you're in the business of caring for seniors, do your job, train your cgs better & fire those who are not willing to do the job as it should be. I was asked before to take my review down because it was offensive to the staff, most of the reviews here are from staff in the office starting with the manager, it's deceiving! I'm glad to see a review from an actual client.
