I’m not reviewing the food. As any franchise food is expected to be about the same in all locations. However the handling of customers was horrendous. We made a reservation as we had a largish group which included an infant. As part of the process we gave our phone number while making the reservation. We ended up being 10 min late due to traffic. Instead of calling us and asking if we were coming they simply gave the table away. They ended up making us wait in the restaurant for 30 minutes. I’m not arguing being late is my fault. The handling was bad. First, why take our phone number if you are not going to call? Second when talking with the manager (who took our reservation) and asking why he didn’t call, he simply said that we were not here after 5 min so that was it. Adding to the convo, when asked why not try to contact has a lot of things can happen and slightly delay guests he simply stated and I quote: “we are a restaurant stuff happens here too within 5 minutes so that’s it”. Great management skills and great experience for a nice family dinner.

First and foremost, I love CPK! This particular CPK in Solana Beach is always very clean and quiet.Today my friend and I came in for lunch. We started with an appetizer, which was the guacamole and chips. I have to say that we were not very impressed with the guacamole, as it seemed to be mostly corn. It also lacked seasoning, as we had to put salt on both the guacamole and the chips. The white corn chips however, we nice and crunchy, but the blue corn chips tasted a little stale.My meal however was great, as usual. I ordered the Tomato Basil Spaghetti Lunch Special with added goat cheese with a side Caesar Salad. The pasta was great and the goat cheese on top was creamy and tangy. The salad was good too. However, unfortunately, CPK no longer serves the whole wheat pasta, which is a much better and healthier choice. They should think about adding that back onto the menu as an option or alternative.Our waitress was very kind, sweet and accommodating and our food came out in a timely manner. Overall, the experience was pleasant.

Open until 10pm.... unless they're not busy....then they close whenever. Look I get it - sometimes it's dead. None the less this isn't a 'local', one-off pizza joint ....it's a massive corporate entity .. you'd think they'd want to stick to business hours to capture as much revenue as possible ... Guess not.Beware if placing an online order close to close of business ....thankfully I called prior to submitting my order and avoided being charged for an order they weren't prepared to make

Let me start by saying they have very friendly and helpful staff. The soups are good but... their wraps could improve. I got the Chicken avocado wrap and the avocado was black and old. The chicken was dry and old. It was a disappointment. The roll they give you is really hard because it's probably old. Their soups are great but I personally didn't like the wraps at all. They could do better.

While there is something generic (not really Italian) about CPK, they are a reliable standard. Everything is always fresh and they use quality ingredients. I ask for my pizza extra crispy because it usually is a bit underdone for my taste. I will say they have some reliable dishes I really like. The spaghetti Bolognese (add the mushrooms) is good and the planked salmon is always perfectly cooked. A really great standout is the strawberry shortcake in summer.Service is very good. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5.

Stopped by for a late dinner last Sunday after a long hot day at Legoland. It was conveniently one of the few places not too far down the road that was open until 10pm and being that we have visited multiple CPK locations over the years, figured we couldn't go wrong; we were right. We were greeted/seated right away and were informed that the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes. So without hesitation I put our order in immediately; BBQ chicken pizza, quinoa salad and for my son, the plain cheese pizza from the kids menu. The complimentary bread and oil were brought out promptly, as were our drinks. The food was brought out a short while later; within a very reasonable amount of time. The best part of our visit that night was the service; the food is reliably good and didn't disappoint. But our waitress, despite having a large group of possibly up to 14 people (didn't get an exact head count) was very attentive and never for a moment made us feel the slightest bit ignored. She followed up right when she had to and even got my son's desert order in despite it being past 10 o'clock. Thank you Tara for delivering excellent service!

The absolute worst pizza I’ve ever had. Ordered two hand tossed pizzas; one “Works” and the other with pepperoni and olives. Both looked as if they were made by a first grader. The cheese only covered half the pizza, the toppings were on some slices and not on others and overall it tasted terrible. Not to mention it was an incredibly small (11”) pizza for the price of a large at MOST pizza restaurants. #neveragain
