The cafeteria food here is okay-priced but it is good. If you have to get food form the vending machine, check the prices for the same item on different levels; it may cost less. The Italian sandwich can be found on different levels for different prices (02/25/2020).The medical is quite decent, especially since they have just about everything you need in one location.They get 3 stars because I miss the ducks and they paved over the area the ducks usually hide in. I saw 1 duck in all of July and August :'(Edit: noon, I saw 4 ducks :) Also my dad is practically suffocating and medical staff do not respond very fast to the beeping machines (in both the ER and ICU), so they still get only 3 stars (probably deserve less). He is doing better now, but they still don't know what's affecting his breathing.

I went to Emergency today 2/22/2020 for my two sons my 4 year old and 11 month old because they both had a cough and a fever but my 4 year old had rashes I waited 10 minutes since I got there to go inside to a room, so I thought it would be fast , but once I was in the room it took the doctor around 3 minutes to go to the room and check my 11 month and then he told me another doctor was going to check my 4 year old so I thought it was going to take probably around 10 to 20 minutes but I was waiting for 1 hour and no one came to tell me the doctor was behind with patients I just left the room and when I went to check out I let the receptionist know I was leaving and she told me she was going to call the nurse to see what was the problem and the nurse told her the doctor was behind with other patients so I told her why didn't any one came and at least let me know what was going on and not let me on the room like if they forgot about me I just thought that is rude not letting patients know that doctors are busy and it will take a while to come to you and not just let you wait in the room without letting you know. The receptionist then told me if I still wanted to wait and it would take me around 30 minutes to an hour more to wait so I just said no and I left home. I wasn't going to wait any much longer I was just mad.

The Longest Hours of my life. My bf and I came in because my bf was showing all the symptoms for dehydration and needed fluids. He had this problem last year in March and they gave him the fluids and he was on his way. We go in to urgent care and checked In at 3:30pm. They told us there was a 2 hour wait, which I understood because there were many people. But even after we go inside, it takes someone 20-30 min to come to you. So imagine waiting 2+ hours and then another nearly half hour once ur inside. They sent him for labs and the nurse told him the tell the receptionist that he can come straight back after he was done. We do exactly what we were asked but yet we had to wait in the waiting area cause the receptionist asked us to wait outside. We were extremely confused because they told us two separate things. There is zero communication between both sides. After what seems like forever, he finally gets his fluids and we are chilling until he is done. After the nurse unhooked the machine, she said the doctor would be there shortly. The doctor proceeded to take another 30 min to come over to ya just to have a two second conversation about how we can leave. He was also on his phone the whole time. Then we had to call the nurse cause no one would come over to take his needle out of his arm. I physically left the center at 9:10pm. If you value ur time and how ur loved is feeling, don’t come here. You will get frustrated!!

They don’t have urgent care for kids! What’s one supposed to do when one’s kid gets sick and appointments aren’t available until 2 weeks later? They told me I could go to the ER (which is of course way more expensive) if I wanted to (even though my kid didn’t have anything life threatening). Other kaisers do have pedeatric urgent care. I don’t understand why this one doesn’t.

My own experience for this Kaiser Permanente is very bad I came in @ 130am for my daughter had a fever of 102.5 and check in was fast and vital were done fast and i ask the nurse is there a estimated wait time he said 1hr and 30mins been. Here for 3hrs now and i ask how much longer the next nurse said oh it depends on the conditions and how serious it is . Im sitting here watching the staff watch movies and falling asleep and gossiping about patients that walk in after vitals. If i knew this ER was like this i would have drove to Anaheim kaiser

If I could give 0 stars I’d give this place a thousand of them. Seriously, save yourself and your family. There was SERIOUS information about my loved one’s condition that was never told, rather hidden from us until she passed away we found out many things. Not only did none of the doctors/specialists attempt to even do their job right but service overall wasn’t the best. Highly recommend everyone to think twice about this horrible place. Now we know why they are called “Killer Kaiser”.

Worst ER staff ever!! I was left in a room for 5 hours with no contact from Nurse or Doctor. I LEFT. I was forced to go back only to be admitted with sepsis. The nurse at desks seem to have roots growing as they are only able to point fingers on their phones. They are not interested in helping patients at all. Avoid this place at all cost.

Dr. Glenn Robert Diekmann is an excellent surgeon. My Mom’s femur was broken but two previous surgeons at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Riverside didn’t operate her broken femur properly; My Mom has been struggling to do daily activities such as stands up, gets dress, walks and so on. More than that she was in great pain. We almost ran out of hope that my Mom will be able doing things as before, then her best friend referred us to Dr. DIEKMANN. We decided to try one last time, He is a nice and kind doctor; He is friendly, patient, and enthusiastic as well. He tried his best to operate my Mom’s case; he took care of her as his family. With his skill, he operated and fixed my Mom’s broken femur properly. His magic hands helped my Mom be able to do things as before. I write this with two reasons: firstly, I want to show our appreciation of his kindness and care for my Mom. Secondly, I want to help someone, who has been struggled with broken femur like my Mom will know which doctor is a good and trustworthy to help. Additional, his assistant, Mr. Douglas is also a polite, friendly, enthusiastic person, too. Kathy ( 12/24/2019)

PARKING rates 0 STARS while staff still overall 5 Stars.11/12/19 9:20am - patient parking is down to levels 1 thru 4 of the original parking structure with just the far southeast lvls of the new structure by the new building available. Valet is now in the basement off Bess Ave NOT Lolita. That is now only employee parking. AND NO HANDICAP SPOTS ADDED TO REPLACE THOSE LOST!!!!Is there going to be any patient parking once the new building opens??? Doesn't seem like it.

I had my first 2 kids at kaiser Baldwin Park when it was a brand new hospital and only accepted private insurance, they were a 5 star back then , there was always parking and the wait time was 5 mins the lab there hardly ever a wait time and if there was maybe 10 mins at the most . We ended up leaving Kaiser due to it getting crowded and we kept asking wth is going on and one of my children’s doctors told us Kaiser is accepting medical now and that’s why you see a lot more people.. we went with Blue cross and been with them for over 15 years and had 2 more children at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena , but my husband and his great idea change the whole family back to kaiser this past October during open enrollment I was furious , I told him wth i hate Kaiser and then today he came home and said Human Resources called me and said I still had a chance to go back to blue cross if He wanted to I told him what are you waiting for change it back I love my doctors and I can go to any hospital I want and my children can actually go to a children’s hospital if they need to .. its very sad because at one time Kaiser was a very good hospital and was private you could only get kaiser through employment but when they started accepting medical it started going down hill and now they treat the patients like cattle their just s number for them ., At this point I wouldn’t give them a star at all ..
