This hospital has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I went in for a rabies vaccine and I was treated brutally. The treatment for rabies consists of a series of vaccines to the affected area on differents days. My first issue surfaced when I initially received the vaccine. I was told that upon receiving the vaccine that day would be considered as day zero, so I was told to come back in 2 days. As it turns out that was completely incorrect since when I arrived on day 2, I was told I was one day early so they couldn't give me the vaccine but they could give the booster shot. I apologize d and I told them I would come back tomorrow , but they told me I couldn't leave because I was already checked in. They refused to let me go, so I stayed. Now they are trying to bill for the mistake along with the other vaccines since they charge "per visit" regardless if the doctors told you to come back to get the same vaccine since it's a procedure. On top of that there were days were I waited up to 4 hors for a simple vaccine that can be gives in about 2i0 mins. DO NOT TRY TO COMPLAIN TO THE NURSES ABOUT HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEE THERE SINCE THEY WILL FIND WAYS TO PROLONG YOUR STAY AT THE HOSPITAL. Even when I tried to complain to billing about my bill and my treatment at the hospital, they were passive aggressive and hug up on me after a while. Currently, I filed a complaint to the hospital and to my insurance just to show what kind of hopsital they are supporting. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND NEVER GO HERE. THERE ARE BETTER HOSPITALS OUT THERE.

PIH IS SHOWING AS A COVID19 TESTING SITE. I CALLED SEVERAL PHONE #'S AND NO ONE COULD GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ABOUT TESTING HERE.I DECIDED TO DRIVE TO THE LOCATION LISTED AND THEY HAD NO TESTING.ON THE WEB SITE FOR TESTING IT SHOWS NO REGISTERING REQUIRED .

TERRIBLE. No one acknowledges you when sign in. You cannot make an appointment, so you've got to get there as early as you can and sit and wait. After 45 minutes, not even an acknowledgment. RIDICULOUS. Who has time for that? They also must be ok with people coming to work sick. Glad I left before they called me, I may have gotten infected by the person I heard coughing like crazy in the back while I sat there for 45 minutes. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. PIH , I'm afraid, is going downhill fast. It used to be excellent. Too bad.

My Autistic son had a CT scan at this Hospital.He wanted his Father with him when he went into the scan room.Instead they let in a caretaker from his group home.They said they needed someone to keep him calm.She is just his caretaker at his group home and has only known him for 2-3 months. They would not let me, his Father, in the room.The next day my son told me how upsetting It was for him not to havehis father with him in the scan room.It also took over 2 and a half hours where my son had to sit in a bed awaiting for the scan.I would never use a hospital that would keep the father of an Autistic son from being in the room while he was getting a CT scan!

My friend is currently in this hospital. He’s been in before and for the most part we’ve been happy with the care received. However, I visited him yesterday and he had the rudest nurse, Adrienne, so sad since she looked young and can’t understand how someone just starting their career can be so cold and crabby and rude. Apparently she scolded him for wetting the adult diaper. He is not supposed to get out of bed so not sure what she expects him to do. Dumb! I work with 4 and 5 year olds in my profession who sometimes have accidents and I am probably old enough to be this nurse’s mother and I have more patience and compassion and concern for those I’m caring for than her. The other issue is the parking situation, it’s horrible now. I park in handicap parking due to my knees and a chronic illness and there it’s always full and now there’s only one entrance so yesterday I parked as close as possible, no valet on the holiday and then walked all the way to the back of hospital where there used to be an entrance and plenty of handicap parking. Bad idea PIH, you need to rethink this for those who have mobility issues and are visiting.

If I could give less stars I would. Mother died in that hospital of a mild heart attack according to the emergency room staff. My mother didn't have cardiac problems. She saw a regular cardiologist because she had her cartid arteries done and maintained care for a decade and always was told that there was nothing wrong with her heart. So why would she die from a mild heart attack? Does not make sense. She saw her internal medicine doc and her cardiologist regularly. The hospital missed something and could've prevented something. It isn't the first time a cover up has happened. Whittier has the worst hospitals and schools! I grew up there, I would know. That's why I wouldn't move back there or raise my kids there.

Yajaira from 3rd floor plaza has terrible bedside manner. I've only said this of only one other nurse in my life. Check my reviews. Nothing but positive reviews aside from that nurse. Period. Besides her terrible bedside manner she told me terrible things about room 6303, specifically about the patient and the patient's family. That's when she thought we were friends. I guess it's okay to violate HIPPA laws. If I walk over to room 3 right now and informed them of what was said, then they would have a major suit against PIH due to the nurse's poor judgement while acting in the scope of her employment. She has discriminated against me due to one of two things. Whichever of the two she chose to misjudge me, she used poor judgement. She only acted as my nurse 3 times during a twelve hour shift. Two of the three times she had terrible bedside manner or failed to use proper nurse etiquette. For example, the second time she administered my meds (when she already had an attitude), she popped my meds right into my IV. I accidently recorded her failing to disinfect my iv or flush it before and after administering the meds. She didnt even take the air out of the syringe. Everyone knows basic nursing 101 on how to administer medications. Prior to having an attitude, she administered the medication properly so as to reduce the risk of infection or damaging the vein. The other times she was meant to administer the medications, she couldn't make it for nearly an hour. A much sweeter and more efficient nurse Maria did her job for her. I also had to wait for lunch and dinner after being NPO for over two hours each because she failed to confirm either of the two meals with dietary. Helen and Manny picked up the slack for her there. She also blatantly lied to the doctor. I do not trust her and I do not trust her judgement. She sucks period. And she still had the nerve after her many failures to act pompous. She obviously has her own medical problems to attend to. She should hope and pray that her nurse is the complete opposite of her. I shouldve known better when she talked poorly of room 3. I can go on and on, but you obviously get the point. Avoid nurse Yajaira like the plague if you are ever admitted to the 3rd floor plaza at PIH in Whittier. And avoid hiring her at any other faciility because it seems like she will ultimately cost the hospital a lot of money. Her personality, work skills, and work ethic sucks. She only got two stars because she administered the first med properly. I studied law. Seems like she shouldve gone into law too. Personality seems better suited for a career that is more adversarial.

Aesthetically speaking PIH is a beautiful hospital. Through the years I have learned that just because a hospital is big and looks nice it does not mean the care is better than smaller hospitals. Like every other hospital I have been to there are good and bad staff. Most of the nurses and staff are good. The wait time to be processed was long but I have learned to be patient with hospitals and doctors' offices since they have a lot on their shoulders and deal with people who may have complex needs. Over all I give this place a 4 star.

Terrible. Don't go here. They will double bill you for going to the hospital and then the doctor also charges you. They are a scam! I was charged over a thousand for an IV for a stomach bug. The doctor's are more focused on getting paid than putting in a few minutes to treat patients and give actual medical advice. Just beware of getting double billed.

ER today at 3pm did a horrible job, not physically examining my son for throat issue just xray without trauma so no need and looked down his throat. Mind you the staff didnt listen when told we came from Primary Physician due to low blood pressure and being told dehydrated and visibility in throat worsened In the last week so he believed blood work was needed.
