I'd give most of these actual caregivers - the people who come out to the house to take care of your loved ones - all the stars in the night sky. They're amazing.But, I just can't do that for the business itself. I've known several of their staff now, and I can't believe the things I hear - even from people who don't talk with each other to compare notes. This company shorts its workers' paychecks, plays games with the scheduling (pretending to misunderstand a request when even I could see what was written on the sheet one person showed me), denies time off, refuses to assist with workers' comp paperwork (such as when someone rather obviously injured her back catching a client who started to fall), and worse. I'll avoid mentioning any of the specific details that might make the point more clearly, because it's pretty obvious this employer would just retaliate against their staff.Given the compassion, dedication, and quality of these workers - they drive out in snowstorms to take care of people the rest of the community has long forgotten - their company ought to treat them like gold. Instead, they just abuse them and think that they can get away with it by shouting more loudly or by pretending a competent adult can't even keep track of what hours she's worked. It's ridiculous.And since the people I've talked with from there are, every one, not in a position to say a word without risking their jobs, I'm posting this review on behalf of all of them. I appreciate the care I've seen them give in this community, and I'd prefer they not be treated like dirt.
