To sum things up, I am looking for three things in my caterer, and We Cater San Diego delivered on everything! They highly exceeded my expectations!My caterer must:be responsive and professional;have amazing food;be accommodating and offer great service.In more detail:Responsiveness and professionalism: My fiance found We Cater San Diego online and said the reviews were stellar. I filled out a quick survey on their website and a rough quote was instantly emailed to me, followed by a phone call from We Cater SD's Leonard. Leonard could not be nicer or more responsive. We set up the tasting literally just two days after my first point of contact. Leonard is so easy to communicate with. Professional and responsive? Check and check!Amazing Food: We got to choose 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 sides. OMG the food is amazing. The chef is Theresa, Leonard's mom. MAN CAN SHE COOK! Passed Apps: We sampled the mango ceviche on top of their homemade chips. Wow. It had a perfect kick and was really fresh. We also sampled the chorizo stuffed mushrooms, which we weren't originally our choice, but after tasting them they are now! Entrees: This was the first caterer we met with that offered 2 entrees. Their tamales are SO GOOD! The sell these in bulk during the holidays, FYI. We tasted carnitas, pollo asado, and barbacoa for the tacos. All were equally delicious! Okay, my favorite was the barbacoa. The tacos are served in small corn tortillas with all of the fixings. The homemade pico de gallo was fantastic! Sides: We went with their delicious rice and beans. Beans are vegetarian! And they are really vegetarian friendly overall. They are customizing the chorizo stuffed to be soyrizo stuffed for us.Service: We were so happy to realize how much these guys offer! They are going to supply our cutlery and dishes, plates, linens, wait staff, even bar tending! A one stop mom and pop shop! Can't wait for them to cater our wedding!
