Client Review on Elite Crete
Feedback:
I used elite crete products on the floor of my business. The floor started peeling and retaining stains immediately. We got the contractor back to look at the floor as well as reps from elite crete in our area. After installing 4 separate epoxy floors we still had a floor with bare concrete and urine stains, despite the fact that one of the elite crete reps said that all of their products were impervious to urine. I told the rep that may be what the data sheet says and most epoxies are impervious to urine and other fluids but apparently yours is not. We filed suit against elite crete, the New England franchise of elite crete and the contractor who installed the floor. We ended up accepting a very small settlement with the contractor and elite crete would not stand behind their product, would not offer to have a new floor put in and was willing to fight in court instead of trying to fix a defective floor that was the result of their substandard product. They attempted to place all the blame on the contractor even though the 3rd and 4th layers of flooring were put on by their people and not the original contractor. The rep from elite crete New England even admitted that he had no idea why the floor was retaining urine stains as they had installed the same epoxy in other kennels. DO NOT USE ANY ELITE CRETE PRODUCTS! They are poor quality and the company will not do anything to stand behind their products. Notice the pits in the floor with plastic chips. Don't take my word on it go to your local Sherwin Williams and ask to speak to their epoxy specialist or call local epoxy floor installers in your area. Every epoxy floor installer in my area said the same thing: Elite Crete is a low quality product and the company takes advantage of the people they get to work for them as installers. When you hire a contractor to install an epoxy floor for you or if you do it yourself go to the company that makes the epoxy and ask them if they will guarantee the floor against defects (staining, yellowing, lifting, etc.) When they say no keep shopping! You also need to know there are companies that make generic epoxies that do not withstand chemical attack, abrasion, or hydrostatic pressure. Other companies make epoxies designed to withstand a variety of harsh environments or exposures. Elite Crete is not one of them!
