Bought two ferns yesterday around noon. Super hot day. 10 min drive home - leaves already browning up. No matter, I thought, I’ll just return it tomorrow Upon returning the manager comes over and starts talking to me with serious attitude talking down to me about what happened. “Well did you leave it in full sun”. No. “It looks like you left it outside all day”. No. burned on the way home out my back window. “Well this is against warranty as it’s your fault the plant is burned even if it was in the car”.Then she goes “well I’ll let you return it this once but not ever again, okay?”Why so aggressive with fellow gardeners? Not the best time at green acres today.

This place has everything! And the staff it's always super friendly and knowledgeable. Today I had some trouble with end rot on my fruit and one of their experts directed me to some organic calcium enrichment fertilizer.Green Acres always has the best selection of plants from the best suppliers. Monterey Bay and Monrovia are some of the best.If you can pick your spots to go; Thursday's between 10:00 & 1:00 are the least crowded. Parking lot can be a nightmare when it's busy.Happy Planting! 🌱😊

I planted four large trees in their fiber pots because an employee told me to plant them in their pots because they decompose. After half a day of digging huge holes, planting, mulching, and staking the trees, come to find out NOOO you cant keep them in their fiber pots. I had to undo and redo everything because an employee didn't know what they were talking about. You would think they would hire people who specialize in plants and nursery related matters.

Came here today looking for some sage...basil and plants to grow a garden.I looked at home depot and Walmart and they did not have many to choose from. I looked online and found this place. I have never been before. It was wonderful...They sell1. Trees. Fruit trees...colorful ones..so many different kinds to choose from...over 50 different kind2. Flowers...wow...where to start...i had a field day looking at them and taking pictures...i would say over 100 different kind to choose from ...3. Herbs...from basil to sage..so many to choose from4. Veggies...corn...tomatoes..i did not know there was such a variety...squash from acorn to yellow squash.5. Fruit...trees...strawberry...grape vines...fig...you name it they have it.They also sell fencing...bird houses...ectWhen you go inside...you will find anything you need to garden. They sell shovels...potting soil...bug repellent...watering hoses...and stakes.I love this place. I did not know I could be do happy here looking at all the flowers and trees.Their prices on herbs and veggies cost less than home depot and Walmart.I highly recommend this place.

Really like this place with lot's of selection and most of staff are very nice. Only small minus is they don't accept returns/exchanges for vegetables. However not all are pros in planting they should at least mention when planting something is risky, for example I bought cucumbers in march from them and they didn't grow, but they sell them so I assumed it's fine to plant, aside from that nice place.

We have been buying plants at Green Acres for a few years. They may cost a little more, but their variety and quality are excellent. However, I wish I could say the same for "other" products. For example, I picked up an order that included a 32oz spray bottle of Bonide Fungicide RTU and the price was over $25. I learned next time to get the concentrate because the ready to use just doesn't cover that much and is not cost effective. Before purchasing again, I happened to find the same product and specs at both Lowes and Home Depot. I was shocked to see the Lowe's price was $9.97 and Home Depot $10.97. They also offer an additional 5% off being a military veteran. I called Green Acres and they more or less said "it is what it is" and they can't control supplier prices. I can understand fair differences in pricing, but this is totally ridiculous and for them not to do anything about it is the reason why I'm giving them just one star. I'll simply look to other outlets next time I look for nursery products. Buyer beware!

I LOVE this place. The employees are always friendly, and incredibly helpful - if they do not know something, they find someone well-educated who can help you with your question(s)/needs!They have a beautiful indoor showroom filled with outdoor furniture, chimes, umbrellas, fireplaces... And all their displays of products are gorgeous!Outside is a plant lovers dream: this is THE place to go for all things you want to plant.Avoid the "standard 3 month plants" from the big box stores and go to Green Acres; they care for the plants and trees (etc) better than any place I've been to thus far (and I am a farmer with 5 acres)...My husband and I have bought a lot of beautiful things from this place. But we also often go, just because it is so beautiful to walk through...And, if you have any issue with a plant that dies, dig it up and bring it in for a refund (up to a year)!

Fantastic service & dog friendly. I needed some help dialing in the right plants for my indoor space and felt well guided to my eventual choice.Had my pups on a hot day, stopped in hoping they were cool with dogs and was thrilled at how welcoming the staff were to my fur buds.

Feedback:

Really great local chain nursery, they carry a lot of nice healthy plants that are great for our local planting zone. Generally nice, helpful staff. The only downside to this place that is if you don't visit on a weekend, the staff doesn't (usually) seem as helpful and nice. I've gone on several occasions and I prefer to go on weekdays just to look or buy plants, but go on the weekend if I'm looking for help or friendly cashiers. It would also be lovely if they carried more plants for water features, but I know their space is limited.

Better, healthier trees than Home Depot - of same variety, even though a bit more expensive. In 3 years, the difference is huge! Worth the price. Much bigger selection. One year return policy is amazing too, if the plant dies or gets sick. Highly recommend this place!
