Probably the best plant based restaurant I have been to in my life! The owner is so humble and puts so much detail and attention into every flavor and bite. There are fresh herbs on the wall which make all of the flavors really stand out. I ordered the Bombay burger and had to come back the next day to try the panini (the mozzarella is to die for). Thank you and keep it up!!

This is my 5th time here. Yes, vegan food can taste amazing, and Green Door Cafe is the proof of that. We had a bbq burger, the penne special and home made "cheese" cake. Oh boy - everything was so flavorful, the team is friendly and put their soul and love into the food and the place. I can't wait to bring my non-vegan friends back to show them that plant based diet can be satisfying and rewarding.-We can't wait to come back - thank you Green Door Cafe.Try the Pesto Panini sendvich

Super delicious food. It’s a Vegan heaven. So many good options, you’ll be spoilt for choices. We got the bombay burger and the pesto panini and both were very delicious. We were confused about the soup option so they even gave us a sample. Finally ended on a high note with the red velvet chocolate cake that came with Soy Ice-Cream. Not a fan of soy milk but I loved the ice cream. I would highly recommend.

Green Door Cafe is the best restaurant around, and they happen to service organic, vegan food which is a huge plus for my body and the environment!! Meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans all agree that Martin and his team offer amazing food, excellent service and a wonderful ambiance. I recommend you catch a live performance in their patio on a Friday evening over wine or hard kombucha and a delicious meal.

I have had afternoon tea in over 40 shops in 10 states, 6 of them here in San Diego county, and I can not express enough how relaxed the atmosphere at Green Door Cafe. Martin was extraordinary providing both completely vegan options that we absolutely delicious, and also gluten free for several in our party. This is the only tea shop that could change an entree upon request. And so many extra tea sandwiches. I strongly recommend this shop to everyone.

Yummy vegan food in nice, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We were coming to La Jolla to visit a friend at Green Hospital, so we decided to find a good vegan restaurant to eat in. We were not disappointed. The owner was there when we visited, a very friendly and responsive guy. We enjoyed our lunch and it wasn’t very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. I had the vegan shepherds pie, which was delicious. We both really enjoyed the salad and vegetables that came with it. My husband had the curry burger, which was a rather soft consistency but with good flavor. The bathroom is very clean. They have a lovely bar there, along with outdoor patio seating and indoor seating. Recommended.

Great vegan place, food good enough for everyone.This is a comfortable, friendly and casual place with excellent vegan dishes and a decent beer and wine selection. It has indoor and outdoor seating and a lot of items to choose from on the menu. We had tacos and a curry burger (with coconut mash potatoes) and both were delicious. Regardless of your diet you'll be delighted with the healthy food they serve here.

Green Door Cafe is my favorite restaurant!! The food is local, fresh, seasonable, organic, ethical and so so tasty! I have tried 10+ dishes on the current menu and love all of them. The Bombay Burger remains one of our favorites. Savory pancakes were a nice surprise. The dessert are wonderful too! We recently had Green Door Cafe cater our wedding and happy hour in Hawaii and it couldn’t have gone better. I highly recommend for dining in, take out, delivery (GrubHub) or catering!! Yum

Go found the Green Door on my lunch break and had just walked by.. I was drawn in my the vegan and gluten free menu on the sidewalk. I love the indoor/outdoor atmosphere! I was greeted by a friendly gentleman named Martin who introduced me to the menu options and samples of the buffet. I knew right away I wanted the buffet with 3 choices, a salad and dessert. I chose the Greek frittata, coconut mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables with tangerine ginger Kombucha on tap. The food was ready in just a few short minutes and it was presented beautifully! It tasted as amazing as it looked also! They have a selection of wine and are open in the evening for toppers as well.I highly recommend the Green Door when you are in La Jolla.

AMAZING. i am so impressed with this place. i'd been wanting to try it for awhile, since I moved to la jolla a few months ago. we got the bombay burger, mac n cheese, and plate full of mashed potatoes, lentils, etc. everything was soo delicious. i loved the lentil pie thing the best and the burger. the atmosphere is gorgeous, super earthy, sunlight, plants everywhere. staff was very nice. it didn't taste greasy or heavy at all, really healthy. can't wait to come back!
