Perfect stop in the heart of downtown along the water at the entrance to Lithia Park!Super nice lady - practicing safe Covid19 measures - Explained the menu and took our order. I had the vegan veggie sandwich and hubby had the tuna salad sandwich which he requested grilled. Large servings and both very good. We seated ourselves upstairs. Too chilly for outdoors but I checked out the patios. Really cute!Social distancing measures are in place. They only opened back up four days ago for dine-in. Beautiful interior. Definitely recommend to get your green fix!!
Feedback:
This space has been around since I was a kid.I remember after ballet, my friends and their moms would go over to this resto for the delicious fare. And it has been around for a very long time. This says something about their management and overall performance. The salads are always very good and organic. They have very clean facilities. The booths are very comfy and I enjoy meeting with local friends to discuss the magic that abounds in Ashland. It's nice to see some places stay around. The black sheep upstairs from them offers the balance to their fare.I would recommend this place to almost anyone because of their versatility and willingness to comply with customer demands in diet and so forth.
Feedback:
The ambience is great. Look for the upper deck when you visit the restaurant..The waitresses was polite and provided us information about the dishes. The special dish of Potato was amazing. Loaded with cheese. The order is quick and the food was delicious. It definitely has vegan options but the taste wasn't great. There is usually a wait especially when the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is happening.
Feedback:
I had the cider, which was very tasty, the Caesar salad, and spaghetti. The Caesar salad was fresh and yummy, but I did ask for extra dressing. The croutons on the salad are definitely made in-house because there were so fresh and delicious, crunchy but not overly so (sometimes they can be dry and too crumbly – yuck). The spaghetti had capers and was delicious, but perhaps could have used a bit more Parmesan. The garlic bread was very good and I could tell that is where the yummy croutons came from – same delicious taste.

The sun was shining splendidly one Sunday afternoon in the very early springtime of the year 2019, when a friend of mine who happens to be of questionable character had called to invite me out for an aimless jaunt through the rolling foothills of the Ashland mountains. Having told myself just earlier to surrender all control to the spirit and the winds of destiny for just this one day, I was forced by ethical responsibilities to accept.. soon finding myself deep into a mystical adventure. What we were up to was purely recreational, sightseeing, specualtive day-tripping, but with a firm intention set specifically on not setting any particular plans or destinations in either of our collective minds.. to just let loose and allow the universe to do us. Without further a due, it was roughly 1:00PM when mother goddess agreed with father sky that it was the correct moment to align the paths of our souls, forming a perfect conjunction with the doorways that lead into the prime establishment directly located in the heart of town center square, which goes by the unassuming name: Greenleaf Restaurant. Ok, so the Greenleaf, immediately upon walking in you are greeted by the most friendly faces and staff. These guys know service, but let me assure you that it's not in the pretentious Ashland snooty stereotype fashion and demeanor you might be worrying about. Nope, the vibe of Greenleaf is that which carries the perfect balance between the old fashion class you look for on a lazy Sunday afternoon, combined with that clean wholesome fresh energy that downtown is known best for. There is seating outside in back right on the river walk! The outdoor tables are perfect for those warm early spring days when the sun comes, a great location to have snacks and a drink while watching the birds, listening to the brooke bubble and bob by.. so very nice it just must be experienced in person. Well friends, let me leave off with one last glowing detail regarding my visit to the Greenleaf Restaurant that should definitely not go unnoted.. it was the fact that available upon their ala carte menu is none other than a serving of Mashed Potatoes with garlic and butter! Let me repeat that.. yes, at 1pm in downtown Ashland, located directly at the trailhead of Lithia Park and downtown Ashland, is waiting for you and your friends: a really cool presented plate of Mashed potatoes with garlic and butter! Ready to fuel the rest of your mission! Why, that plate of potatoes not only gave us the energy to continue the rest of our days activities, but it sustained me so well that it drove me to come share this glowing review of them, and the place, the people especially who make them. You will never do wrong to stop into the Greenleaf, that is one thing I was able to learn and take home from this fine day spent on this great earth. Much thanks, and have a great rest of your life as well. I plan on spending more of mine at.. The Greenleaf.
Feedback:
Went in for date night Friday. We were seated quickly. The place was very busy. We sat in the back that had a view of Ashland Creek. Wait staff was efficient. My Fiance had the pesto fettuccine with chicken, I had the chef salad. Decent portions. My Fiance loved her dish and was only able to eat half. My salad was loaded, very tasty and completely filled me up. The iced tea was good too. Definitely worth the price for what you receive.
Feedback:
First of all, it's Ashland! Great coffee, pivotal for the start of my days! Wonderful breakfast, we visited on the weekend so i was able to have the traditonal benedict, i try one every chance i get. It was really delicious, eggs were perfect! The place was comfortable and the service good. I will be back on my next trip! Oh! And the polenta, yum!
Feedback:
Having a delicious breakfast on the back patio along the creek is a perfect way to start the day! My husband and I both had the challah bread French toast, he opted for a side of bacon and I for the marionberry compote, we both enjoyed our selections immensely! The marionberry compote was a wonderful add, not too sweet, very flavorful with a beautiful color and lots of whole berries for a great texture.
Feedback:
Greenleaf restaurant offers the best dedicated gluten-free fare anywhere in Jackson County. Some of their food items are organic and almost everything on the menu (except the decadent desserts) is nutritious and healthy. Greenleaf also has plenty of conventional items on their menu, all of which get high marks from the many guests I bring there. The food is upscale without being pretentious and the atmosphere is relaxed. Greenleaf has several different eating areas, including outdoor tables by a lovely creek, back room tables, front room booths, a counter, a small upstairs dining area, and a balcony that is only open on weekends. The restaurant does get crowded during peak hours, and I would not say this is world class cuisine. But the food is tasty, the waitstaff are unfailingly courteous, and the ambience is inviting. When I go out to eat in Ashland, Greenleaf is my first choice.
Feedback:
The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. They had some interesting options on the menu that you wouldn't normally see for breakfast. I had the Greek scramble with polenta, which I had never heard of before dining here. Both were quite tasty. The scenery overlooking the stream in the back of the restaurant is also really pretty.
