Periodically I see the well meaning but misguided youngsters of Greenpeace soliciting money from passerby. From what I can see, saving the environment involves invading the personal space of strangers while begging for change.I have been around long enough, and have enough Internet facts, to be comfortable with the belief that my hard earned money would be put to better use with some other organization.Additionally, I do not lead a lecture from some unshaven, unkempt millenial who feels it is his duty to lecture me on how I am part of some global patriarchal power structure.Lastly, knowing as I do how one of the co-founders of Greenpeace has quit and disavowed this organization gives further credence to my belief that this is not an organization to be trusted.Again, this knowledge was lost on Generation Selfie, who felt it his duty to berate me in a loud voice as to how he was "fighting the negative energy" of people like myself.Until a courtesy app is invented, it might be advisable for the powers that be at Greenpeace to teach their "Green Warriors" some humility, civility, and courtesy.
