Beautiful well kept beach, perfect for long walks or for just enjoying the sea air. I was attracted to this location when I heard about the bioluminescent waves that were occuring. I came just at sunset and it was a pleasure to spend my evening here! The houses perched on the hilltops overlooking the natural beauty. Take time to just let it all sink in. This beach is also somewhat close to LAX so you can see massive jumbo jets take off into the sunset. I will be a regular at this beach moving forward!

Decided to take my husband and his therapy animal to the beach today after being cooped up for months on end. Let me start off by saying that I will not return. The guards in the red truck stopped me and my husband and said that his dog was not allowed on the beach. Before he could finish his sentence I tried to explain to this person that this dog comes with a prescription for him to have this dog. I do not understand why this situation out of them all was something that even had to be brought up, I am extremely upset. So after driving 25 mins, paying the parking fee and making it all the way to the sand just to be kicked out, thanks a lot for absolutely nothing.

There is no place to park on the roadside just above the beach!😡 The spots where you can park is very little and it's on the other side of the road. When I use to work near the beach I would go and park just above the beach on the road and sit in my car for lunch. Years later before and after visiting my mom, I would park and look out to the ocean just for a little while. Now I can only drive by, not able to really enjoy it. The only way you can is to pay those high parking fees. I don't mind paying the fee if I'm going to stay all day but not for 30 minutes to an hour! 😠 The only reason it got 2 stars is I found a small spot high up and looked out from my rearview mirror at the beautiful ocean. If the city or state could block the whole beach and ocean from being seen unless you pay viewing fees, they would set it up. So sad.... yet sooo true.😐😑😐

Things to note1. Fee parking in the lot. The lot fills up quickly on the weekends and backs up traffic on the PCH. You can park in the neighborhood if you are willing to walk. 2. Fires are permitted on the beach which is the biggest drawing point. 3. Public restrooms available but not very clean. 4. Bike path. If you want to ride along the beach there is a bike path through the sand (paved). 5. LAX is very close and jets fly over low. Conclusion. Only go here If you want a fire on the beach. Otherwise head out to Malibu where the beaches are pretty.

You can enjoy day or night a really calm and secure Beach.You can go on a car & RV. Low price parking ... showers and nice places to make fire on the beautiful night..The only downside is the airplanes from LAX
