Hawaiian Ethos
73-5613 Olowalu St Suite 7 | Hawaii, United States, 96740Client Review on Hawaiian Ethos
Feedback:
"Describe the atmosphere," says google. As you walk in, the reception desk is on your left but your eye is drawn to the waiting room, full of organic shapes, hewn stone, and relevant literature. After briefly filling in the requisite paperwork, in the friendly and gregarious company of the floor coordinator and the receptionist, the coordinator brings you into the waiting area. Now in full view the amount of literature, and even some vials of terpenes to smell, makes you nervous that you might be waiting a while to be brought back to the sales floor, where the products are displayed and the business is done. As you sit down the only other people waiting are brought to the door to the sales floor by the coordinator, all smiles and genuine content. You're waiting a total of 1 minute and 23 seconds, barely enough time to get a whiff of some sweet nerolidol, before the coordinator is back, welcoming you over to the sales-floor-door. She informs you of the name of the sales team member that will be helping you with describing and deciding on products, and then you're in The Room. All the products that they can display without putting glass between you and them, they do, encouraging you to pick up and examine the packaging and labels. The products are all arranged on hewn stone and raw wood pedestals that continue the organic and relaxing atmosphere from the waiting room, seemlessly. Your sales associate greets you cheerfully and asks if you have visited before, if there is a particular effect you are seeking, or a symptom you are treating. The conversation is just as organic as the decor. Discussing methods of extraction and consumption are obviously second nature to them. After perusing for some time, you decide a variety of products: rosin, rosin cartridges, some sublingual quick dissolving tablets, and, of course, some flower... a sampler. Your guide goes on to describe the compostable packaging, and how to open specific containers that may be bothersome. After talking a little longer you move toward the exit door, a different one than you came in, and say your goodbyes. You leave the sales room, back into the reception area. The coordinator and receptionist are present and wish you safe travel and bid you to return whenever you need. You walk back out into the blistering kona heat, the sun unrelenting on your head and shoulders. Checking your phone, you physically recoil in surprise. It had only been 10 minutes. So much knowledge, so much personality, such a wonderful realization of a business (a collection of people) that isn't afraid to be genuinely friendly and helpful to their clients.EDIT ONE MONTH LATER:Ethos has been consistently expanding their variety, slowly trickling in more product options, I thought I'd report what I think so far.As far as flowers go, I personally haven't used combustion for inhalation for about 3 weeks. They have both thc rich and cbd rich strains available and the one I did try was great (cheese kush, indica heavy and good for naps). The oral products available are varied and each has pros and cons. The quick dissolve tablets are one of the least expensive options for consistent, long lasting effects. They can be used sublingual for rapid onset or swallowed whole for the classic oral slow burn. I've only tried the thc tincture at 10mg/ml, dissolved in unroasted sesame seed oil, and it is quite effective. If you have an aversion to the taste of sesame you will want to have it on something else as the sesame flavor is quite potent. Effervescent tablets are one of my favorites, dissolved in water, it is easy to titrate exact dosages throughout my day.Topical ointments have never worked well for me in the past so I was hesitant to buy some, but after some anecdotal persuasion I got one. Perfect for acute pain suppression but it only lasts about 20 minutes for me, so i have to stretch it out while it's numb to ease the aches long term.Ethos' rosins (including cartridges) are, for me, a crux. I'd tell you more but I am at the character limit!
