3.5 out of 5 - First time shopping here on 6/2/20. Service was great. Compared to other local shops, incentives weren't really great for first time buyers. Nice selection. Purchased 3 different eighths... which, sadly, ALL three weighed out to 3.4, instead of 3.5. Which most likely means scales to need to be calibrated here or gram scales should be used instead for smaller purchases.

I can't really give stars because I've never been. I'm going to DC for a few days n looking to where I can get my medicine while there. You can't even view the menu without registering for the site!! No bueno👎🏽Thank you for letting me know!! I will take a look at that site.😎

**UPDATE*** I sent Herbal Alternatives an email after they responded to my review. I gave H.A. an opportunity to make things right, but they never responded to my email. Thanks for confirming my review and your unprofessionalism. original review: (AlternativeHerbal Alternatives is by far the least professional dispensary I have used. Would not recommend. I left feeling mislead and unsatisfied. It took so long going back and forth with the workers that I received a parking ticket. It was my first visit, so I was not allowed to make a transaction until people who entered the dispensary after me were serviced. Beware the bait and switch. Their menu is not updated. I asked for flower from the menu online; and I was told they were sold out. I asked for flower from the menu I was shown in store, and again I was told they were sold out. Even though the menu on both their television and tablet said otherwise. Randomly the receptionist pulled out a small amount of the flower I was told had sold out. The experience was way too drawn out and unpleasant. I was only able to get 50% of what I wanted to purchase due to lack of inventory. It took more than thirty minutes for a simple transaction and I ended up getting a ticket because Herbal Alternatives does not have their business together. I have never seen a dispensary where flower is weighed out in the open in front of patients. This process is very unsanitary and a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and try any other dispensary. The time stamp on my receipt was also wrong by 2 hours. 10/10 for unpleasant experience.)

Staff is friendly & knowledgeable. I appreciate that the staff is also diverse (and attractive). Herbal Alternatives is in a great location. They also have a library with subjects on MJ 101, Jack Herer's The Emperor Has No Clothes (a must read), and Steve DeAngelo's The Cannabis Manifesto (a must read for activists)... and other books. MMJ greatly helps my neuropathy, stress, & enhances my creativity. Thank you H.A for a great place!P.S. I visit this dispensary because rhey allow ppl to sniff the scent (no touching, tho). Smelling MJ is like a hit of fresh air! And different strains do smell different. 😝

Yeah! Where do We begin? Let me just first say the Customer service was excellent! Very informative, so much in so little time. Begin from Out of State, I was very impressed with the selections! The Flowers were " out of this world!" Vape Carts whoa! Everything you could possibly need, the Lavender Lotion great for pain.. So much, I'm leaving out but don't take my word, go check it out for yourself... ( No worries about being discreet, you would walk right passed without GPS) thx 👍

First time here. Was not sure of the marijuana laws in Washington but thought I would give the dispensary at go anyways! Was greeted by a security guard at the main entrance. She asked us where we were going. When I said 3rd floor she asked to see my license. That's when I told her I didnt have one but we were from out of town. I then asked her if there were any recreational dispensaries and she said that Washington has not approved marijuana for recreational use so it's only by license right now. Thanked her and left.

Just be sure to add them as a stop while in DC! Fantastic and Knowledgeable staff willing to help out anyway they can. You can walk in as an expert or brand new card holder and theyll work with you. Products are top shelf quality, I highly recommend! You can see and smell everything before purchasing, it's not prepackaged. Nice and Fresh.

Hands down probably my favorite place in DC maybe even Maryland sometimes this dispensary has some top quality medicine that is always fresh and in a deli style so you can see and smell everything!!! I absolutely love all of the staff here they are so nice, and they also all our pretty knowledgeable about a lot of questions you may have!!! This place really tries their hardest to provide great quality medicine and they do a fantastic job

This is hands down the best dispensary in DC and the only one in the city that serve you in front of you. I love this because is more personal and you can always see the weight of the medicine in front of you( is never pre-packed like the other dispensarys). The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable ( Frankie is the best 😃). And they always have the best specials in the DC area.

Okay. So I am not a person to normally leave reviews, but there is no way I could go without doing so after my visit today. It was my first time there, and of course I was a little nervous. I was greeted with such a welcoming feel from all of the staff and Frankie worked me directly. I had a zillion questions, and she had an answer for every single one. She educated me on a ton of strains she thought would be best for my condition. Her customer service seemed too good to be true - she should host some sort of customer service class for some of these cell phone companies haha In all seriousness, she was just someone you could talk to forever. Even the other patients that came in were really friendly and just a good vibe all the way around. I did a lot of research before picking them, and it was surely worth it. They have a great menu and good quality product!
