I was sarcastic and rude to the lady at the front desk, but she remained very calm and pleasant. I had just sold my house and moved 800 miles, and all my stuff was in storage. An old rental was the only thing I could find and it was rotting away from the bottom up. I had been coughing for ten days like I've never known. The lease I signed said I would have to move out if I found the place unlivable, and I had nowhere to go. The wait time at Providence wasn't very long for a walk-in. Dr. Schwartzkopf was sooooo nice, even though I was going postal. My blood pressure was 178/?? when I'm usually about 115/70. He checked me out thoroughly and gave me a referral for a future doctor. I got my antibiotics, then I went home and put some clothes in a bag and stayed in a motel for a week with my dog. (After that stay I went back home and there were black stars of mold all over the floor below the shades. I determined that what originally looked like smoke over the stove was mold growing through from the old chimney-- didn't sue, would have been on a stretcher for sure.) I was treated better than I deserved at Providence and I highly recommend them.

The receptionist and most of the nurses where friendly at the ER, but when I got in the back the Doctors treated me like scum. One in particular, Dr. Parks. Talked down to me and made me feel stupid for a mistake I know i've done, his job is to treat not lecture. Listening to this poor man's Patrick Dempsey belittle and mock me to his posse of slack draw troglodytes kinda made me want to repeat that dumb mistake that put me in there. Then they gave me a referral to a Orthopedic surgeon to get my hand fixed. Turns out that referral isn't too who I was supposed to see, and now doesn't sound like they want to see me because of that. There's a lot more to this story. Bottomline is you're better off staying home when something is ailing you then coming here, after visiting here twice and getting two non fitting casses, I can only surmise they genuinely do no care.

Very slow when its full of people. Staff members are polite and friendly and respectful.Bathroom are clean. Environment inside and outside are clean.I got here at 6:51pm and its 10:16pm and I just got seen and I am in a corner room that hardly anyone sees.Nice hospital though. The emergency room needs more staff and at least one more doctor on hand mainly when they are full..

I couldn’t have asked for a more kind and caring staff than what I had when I was in the emergency room. It was Thanksgiving and when others were at home with family the nurses and doctors technicians and staff were there to help others. The admission person was so caring. Rachel the ultrasound tech, Liz the nurse, the doctor (his name alludes me at the moment) the student nurse were all amazing, kind and thoughtful.

ER needs more staff and less chatting, dirty place, the wait time ... It does not matter what time of the day you end up here, usually does not matter if its full of patients or not they make you wait no less than 1 hour 45 minutes poor triage staff take the beatings because other staff cant stay focused and keep the line going . I think after so many years in needing the ER IN WALLA WALLA I learned our lesson going elsewhere for now on . how they are open and operating is beyond me.

5 stars would have been given but the initial interaction with the emergency room receptionist was negative because she wasn't empathetic, warm, friendly but instead robotic and cold. Other than that, all the staff with the exception of a single nurse during the hospital stay for a gall bladder surgery was excellent. The emergency room doctor was warm, friendly, empathetic, courteous, professional, etc. The same goes for each and every other staff member on the medical team throughout the stay going from the emergency room to being admitted. The surgeon was just as awesome as the emergency room doctor. Unfortunately, the anesthesiologist injured my throat due to an apparatus that didn't fit for my breathing - this should not have happened - and I still have a minute problem even after a couple months. Other than these three incidents, the gall bladder removal surgery itself went fantastic - like magic.

The staff are nice and try but they are way overwhelmed. Triage needs to be better. I waited in the waiting room for almost 2 hours to get triaged when I had a kidney stone. Pain was unbelievable and at a 10/10. Childbirth was easy compared to that pain, no exaggeration. Waiting that long when you are in complete agony is not how you run a triage. People going ahead of me included people with what looked pretty minor comparatively. Please get this fixed. Add another triage nurse and room. I've been to other ER'S when I lived out of state and this is not how it is run. When I got called back finally, it took another hour before I got any pain medication because the poor staff were running around trying to help too many people. They were very competent and demonstrated caring but patient ratio was apparently too high. PSMMC, please do better.

Doctors quit working here when one of the hospitals closed down. The remaining hospital has always had questionable service is now the only game in town. They make appointments then screw up your time. When you arrive 10 minutes late for their new unprovided time nut 10 minutes early for your appointment they refuse to serve you. The Dr or Nurse Practioner Mary in this case, has a choice apparently but these doctors have never cared to provide service as evident by the trouble we had upon arival in this area a year ago and now again. I would not recommend this place as a place to retire or even live if you have any health issues. And if you do try to find anyplace other than Providence for care. Medical care is very difficult to obtain and service providers couldn't care less.

The 2 is because of decoration, honestly. HOWEVER, they tied me to a table, then gave me two shots, knowing my fear of needles, while strapped to the bed, and without my permission, put me to sleep. Isn't wonderful to be forcefully put to sleep, and then wake up up to see you've been impaled with needles, and you can't walk, or do anything alone.I wished they would have prayed with me or something. Bad experience overall.
