I spoke to a gentleman about a sweatshirt that I had tried on, I asked if he can please put it on hold for me he said he was not able to do that , and said he would transfer me to a manager. The manager named Dora she started telling me a story about payroll and that it was a discount store which meant some one would have to walk to the floor and get it. I haven’t had a problem with Ross they are usually very kind and friendly, but this store in particular has always been very rude in the past. Another thing she mentioned was that it was also a policy, there are times in the store where it is totally not busy, she could have said to call back in an hour etc. but her response was very arrogant and snotty! I believe customer service is first then policy comes next once costumer service is not there, everything like payroll, policy, someone walking to the floor is out the door at this point. Very disappointed!This happened at the Murrieta Ross at 3:07 pm

They really had the worst selection of clothing I had ever seen at a Ross. It probably was a low time of year. The sales people and cashiers were nice and polite. Don't let it stop you from shopping there.I've been back recently and I have to say the spring and summer clothes had a much better selection. I like Ross and hope they continue to do better. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because they had a good selection of home items. After shopping here, I had 2 glassware sets and 3 full bags of items and I was told I could not bring my cart out to my car and had to CARRY everything out. No employee offered to help, even though carrying everything I had at once was impossible. After much push back I was able to get two employees to help me bring my things to my car, however one was complaining because she was "off in 4 minutes" and did not want to help.After being in customer service industries for over 6 years, including being a retail asst. manager- if you see a customer buying more than they can carry, or breakable items KNOWING they cannot use anything to help them transport it to their car, you help them NO questions asked. That is why it's called customer SERVICE. Their consistent "sorries" were not going to help me bring 3 full bags, a dinnerware set and a glassware set safely to my car, and their whining over doing their job was absolutely ridiculous. Go for the selection, but don't expect any quality service.

Typical cheaper retail store. They always seem to have a nice clearance section, though. Can be a bit chaotic and clothes aren't always shelved in the correct place, so be sure to watch for that before you buy. It was also one of the few places we found to carry maternity clothes in the store, that wasn't a "maternity" store (i gave an extra star for this).

This store is cool! Prices are reasonable and they always have new things coming in. I like that they have security in store. It is messy at times but the staff works hard to keep the store clean and presentable. It is on a busy shopping center so there are plenty of options of where to shop if you cant find what you are looking for at Ross.
