Feedback:

It was expensive for the kind of food and service we received. The waiter was very distant and not welcoming. He’s not rude, but just had this emotionless expression like he doesn’t want us here. The seafood was not that great either. One thing I remember vividly is the salmon in my meal breaks up into pieces, it doesn’t stay as one piece. This is the kind of fish thawed from a regular freezer, not instant freeze which will still keep the taste and texture of seafood. Even all you can eat sushi places have better salmon than this place, that and the price we paid for this meal, I won’t be returning to this place. Huge letdown.

Feedback:

Not too bad and not so good services, no free wifi, few customers. It’s good to enjoy a little time alone here, eating meals and drinks. But, I was told that even though I stayed 7 mins I had to order not only drinks but also main food cuz it’s busy hours. That time was 2pm and only 3 tables were there. I probably not order the main menu there.

A typical high traffic cafe can be described as modern, extravagant, colorful, and youthful. If you are around the Markham area, you might think of Duo, Bon Bon, and My Cup of Tea when the word cafe rings.Yet, Le Cafe Michi is unlike any of the above. The aged store front is well hidden within the small quiet plaza. The interior is simple, cozy and filled with eye catching small details that keeps you busy as you await your table. The menu, furniture, and tableware work together to bring you back to the past where the food matters more than the decorations. And the food did not disappoint. It is a work of art. By that, not only do I mean the presentation but also the taste. And some of the hidden surprises can only be experienced in person. In the market where branding, presentation, and gimmicks dominate, Le Cafe Michi dares to remain different by serving a proper meal. Was it expensive? Yes, like many modern cafe. Was it worth it. Absolutely, unlike many modern cafe.

The staff is fantastic here very nice people. The chirashi here is amazing a little pricey for sure but the ingredients are great. They put a lot of uni, scallops and other higher end seafood in it. The desserts here are very good too not very sweet just the way i like it. I've never tried other things on the menu the chirashi is basically my go to every single time and it has never failed.

Feedback:

Good sushi, but definitely not worth $6 for piece of sushi. I was trying to think why it's that much and why people would pay for it consistently. My guess, it's the only decent sushi in the area. Go to downtown Toronto, or even North York, you can get better quality for a cheaper price. Also, their rice in their bowl dishes was very mushy.

Feedback:

Yes, the good quality and service are normal. But to be honest, nothing stands out, and by that I meant nothing. However, their items are all over priced for whatever reason. Even a can of beer is more than most other sushi places. I think premium price only makes sense for place that offers either special taste/cuisine or an unique vibe/atmosphere. Sadly this place has none, and it's kind small and out of date. Maybe there is some sort celebrity chef at the back cutting the fish, but really have no idea what the hype is all about.

I often come to this cake shop ,the sign above the door reads cafe and cake .but when I order, the waitress uses Japanese said to her Japanese colleagues that these two people just order the cake and laughed then come over and tell us today You couldn’t only order the cake.........What?We came here from downtown for the cake! !The last time after I had dinner, I came here and ordered some snacks. When I pay the bill , the woman said in Japanese why they only ate something like this. . . . I am sorry that I understand Japanese............

I walk in at 1pm for a slice of cake and coffee. Waitress tells me they won’t serve me because it’s lunch time and , that coffee isn’t served until 3pm. Did I miss something here ? Did I just step into the twilight zone ?? The sign above the door reads cafe , cakes and coffee. Will never step foot in here again.

The sushi (quality of the fish) was pretty good. The service was pretty bad.Incredibly slow. Took them three requests for water. When the food arrived, we had to ask for napkins and chopsticks. When they brought it, they didn't bring enough so we had to ask for more. The food tool forever. At one point, it looked like the chef came into the dining area to take a break and chat with a client.Interesting concept though- they also serve cakes. So your dinner is a combo that includes salad, miso soup, green tea (or coffee) and a cake for dessert. The cakes look appetizing but tastes average.I think the clientele is loyal, so that's a sign of how people perceive the food.

Highly recommended the Tofu cheese cake here, one of the best dessert in Toronto Japanese restaurants! They have set menu, so all the dishes will come with coffee/tea, salad, miso soup, and dessert. If you are the first time here and wanna try something special, bento box and the chirashi is a good start. If you just want to try some regular items like Toritama, Japanese curry, you can try for lunch time, will be a bit cheaper than the dinner set.
