A couple of weeks ago, we were trying to switch to a different home health care agency for my uncle. The gentleman handling our case contacted Compassionate Care to see if they were taking new clients (Compassionate Care was our first choice because we had heard so many positive stories). After about 2-3 weeks later Compassionate Care finally responds to our caseworker and told them that they could not take my uncles case because none of their caretakers wanted to take care of a man weighing 450 pounds. My uncle has always been a heavy person for as long as I have known him, and I am turning 50 years old in a couple of weeks. I am so disgusted with Compassionate Care ... They have NO right using the name "Compassionate" when they have shown such discrimination toward an overweight gentleman that they don't even know as a person. This just sickens me, what a shame. WHERE is the COMPASSION here?
