I would give their food a 7/10 in taste but the price for such a tiny size just isn't worth it for their pizza. As for their customer service on the phone, they treat you like absolute garbage. Three times in a row, I've had a very horrible experience with them for the lack of service and attitude. The first time I called, they were almost reluctant to even go through with the order. The second time, they answer without greeting so I wait a moment before I speak just to realize that he hung up on me. The third time I called, it went through for about 3 calls and then straight to voicemail. Working in the service industry myself, I would never expect to see this type of behavior at such a nice location for what it "seems to be". Don't waste your time nor your money unless you like to be treated this way. They are NOT NICE... T"Not So Nice Guy"

The nice guy? Not so nice really. More like the “no” guy. Numerous signs outside and inside saying “no photos”. We get it, but let’s use tacky signs everywhere to ruin the beautiful decor. That’s about as far as we got as apparently shorts are not allowed in LA, in August! And no where is this stated on their website. If you’re going to post “no photos” signs everywhere, how about throwing up a “no shorts” too?!?Good luck to your bougie establishment. Craig’s it is from now on.

Rude.Husband and I were in the neighbourhood for dinner and decided to pop in for a quick drink before heading back to hotel. Was refused entry by doorman because we didn’t have a “reservation” and proceeded to give us a business card. We explained we were on a plane back to Australia the next day and not to bother giving to us.Remained at the front waiting for our Uber we witnessed him ask 3 girls and 1 guy within 2 mins if they had reservations to which they replied no and he let them in anyway. Just as well they had a “booking” isn’t it? Good luck remaining on top fellas. You might change your tune and attitude toward people when the next hot bar takes your place.

This place is very impressed with itself, while I am not quite as impressed.Walked up to the door and the vibe immediately started with the valet guy..."do you have a reservation?" *sigh* Yes, we have a reservation. The website, reviews, everywhere says Reservations Only. No Pictures blah blah blah. I get it.Smaller place than I expected. We were promptly seated at our table for a 7:30 reservation, which was nice. Except our table was so close to the 4 top next to us that we felt like we were at their table with them, in their laps, which was not so nice. And they were soooooo loud that I could not hear my dining companion. First of all, they should have some manners and tone it down a bit now that someone is next to them. Second of all, the restaurant should have asked them to take it down a notch, especially after I mentioned to the waiter that they were realllllly loud and we couldn't hear each other for our own conversation. Thank god they left about 15 min into our dinner and the place resumed to a normal decibel level. For food we ordered the following to share:Calamari - very saltyMargherita pizza - nothing to write home aboutCorn & Lobster Mezzaluna - good, about 6 raviolisRoasted Cauliflower - this was delicious, surprisingly my favorite dishChocolate Budino - small pot of a very rich chocolateService was ok...it took us forever to get our drinks. I think we had the calamari and pizza before the drinks even came. Each dish came out as it was ready. Would have been nice to have the pasta and cauliflower together. All in all, if was an A-OK dining experience, but nothing to ooooh and aaaaah over.Would I come back? Naw, I'll pass. I prefer Craig's.Bonus: AmbianceBogus: trying too hard to be the "it" Hollywood place.

Great atmosphere. Really lovely humans all around working there. Including the really delightful damn valet dude. Food was good. Some really good. Some so so. Honestly, the broccolini side dish is exquisite, as is the fried mozzarella. The Bolognese was rich in red wine....really good if you like that. But you gotta like that, and I do. Afogato disappointing. But I'd go back. We had a great time.

Sure, it's helpful if someone else is paying but....the people are friendly, the food is great, the drinks are not skimpy & the space is beautiful. Dress up a little & have fun. Don't understand the negative reviews at all-esp about it being "more suitable for a date v IG pic"...um yes but that is not a negative for my group...maybe avoid Fri & Sat nights, in case the IG people are especially sullen? It's been open awhile & is mellow not obnoxious. No phones allowed, always happy about that, you actually have to talk to other people & dance without dodging IG drones endlessly posing for selfies..it's radical!

How was the food? Don’t know. Service? Not a clue. Decor and ambiance? Looked great for a fleeting moment as the affectless hostess escorted us through the well-appointed dining room and into what looked like a back alley on a cold February night. We and another couple made a reservation and secured babysitters weeks before our February 23 first visit to The Nice Guy. A few days before, the restaurant called to say they needed to move us from 7:30 to 8:00. Weird, but fine. My wife and I arrived a few minutes before 8:00 and before our friends so we went to the bar. The place looked beautiful and we were excited to have a meal there. Our friends arrived a few minutes later. But then the hostess escorted us away from the elegant and enticing dining room and out a side door into what I would describe as a side alley where 3 tables had been set, seemingly as an afterthought. We were the only ones in the alley. It was cold. No ambiance. No lighting. No candles on the tables. No flowers. Just an alley with 3 tables. The expressionless, unapologetic hostess said she would turn on the outdoor heaters. 2 out of 3 of them didn’t work. We asked if we could wait at the bar for a table inside. The unsmiling hostess said yes, and that a table “might” become available “around 10:30” (it was 8:05 and the babysitter clock was ticking). She didn’t seem to appreciate the absurdity of us waiting at the bar for two-and-a-half hours for the chance—maybe a slim chance?—at an indoor table. Unhappy with the cold, dark, cramped outdoor seating, and with fluorescent lighting from the street shining in our faces, we asked to see a manager. When no manager appeared for 10 minutes, we booked AOC on OpenTable for 8:30 and left. The manager appeared outside as the valet retrieved our cars. He was very apologetic and invited us back another night. He seemed nice but it was too late. LA has so many great restaurants to try and we don’t have enough bandwidth (or babysitters) to try them all. By the way, AOC was terrific (as always)—the hostess even smiled, made a joke and seemed really happy to have us, which was a different and refreshing experience that evening. I’ve probably eaten out a couple of thousand times in my adult life and never have been treated like this. Life is short. Babysitters cost money. Go somewhere else.

Would agree with all the snobby and bad service reviews.Number one it was hard to find the door and the valets were no help, once inside it was empty, I wanted to eat at the bar, but apparently shorts are not allowed (pushing 100 outside, but I guess that’s why no one wanted to come there, they cannot make exceptions even when they are dead). When a young lady walked in with a skirt much shorter than my shorts walked in and was served I asked again, still no.... I was there for ten minutes, interacted with three staff all snobby and not friendly. No thanks there’s plenty of other great dining choices in this area, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is closed the next time I am in the area if the rest of the reviews are true and people were treated as poorly as me.I won’t be back and would recommend you do the same....

They act as if you are trying to con your way in when you are on the list. I felt embarrassed as she stared at the list like I was a liar. The staff are snobes and ignore you the entire meal. There is no room to sit or light to see. Everyone just stares at you except the people who should be attending to you. I paid a lot of money to have some annoying blonde take our order and disappear until it was time for the check. This place needs to hire people who are happy to serve you. I feel like it’s the people not the place
