The Oak is minimally interesting and only worth seeing combined with a visit to the rest of Placerita Canyon. The Canyon area offers small, easy hikes, a tiny zoo with a few birds, turtles and reptiles, a museum with quite a bit of taxidermy, an old homestead a and butterfly garden (seasonal). There are also many kinds of wild birds visible in the area.
