The guy was acting weird when I was looking at sandwhiches, like kind of getting too close, asked the white lady that came behind me if she needs help but didn't do anything but look at and really stare at me looking at sandwhiches with a frown but minutes latter when a white lady approached , he asked her if she needed help. Then the same thing happened at the register with the lady that has customer service issues with colored people. I was wearing a pastel purple GOLF SHIRT and I was profiled like that. 1 star. Been going here off and on for 17 years. I've been ignoring stuff like like this for years from this place, years I have dealt with it, different employees. It's time to stand proud, black lives matter too.

Today my husband and I visited ION and I understand that we may not look like the "typical" patrons of ION, but I went there specifically to purchase a supplement that most stores do not carry. I knew ION would have it since I have purchased items for myself in the past as well as gifts for others during the holidays... Not only were we greeted rudely, but followed around the store by the floor manager or properitary owner (whom ever she is) as well as followed/ watched closely by other employees as though we were there to steal. Although we prefer to support local businesses - this is the LAST time I ever purchase anything from this establishment! In the future my all natural and supplement purchases will be made elsewhere or online via Amazon.

I really like this Market. It's somewhat small compared to some other local health food stores like the Willimantic Food Co-op, however it's a great alternative for people that don't feel like driving to Whole Foods but need healthy options. It also has the feeling of a small nonprofit run organization although it does not feel like a co-op.

I have been going there for years now when it was first in the main Street market place l continues to go at new location. The owner and it's family and staffs are very friendly. They also hires diverse group of people to work for them which is nice to see. It can be expensive but, you buy what you can. Sometimes l think that our supermarket in town is more expensive too. My body feels clean inside when l buy at the health food store. I appreciate you all, keep on doing what you do best by keeping us healthy. l would love to see them carries a fresh juice bar in the future. Thank you,

Great selection of natural foods. They have a particularly impressive selection of grains and nuts. I've been in a few times when I am in town and I always make it a point to stop in. I like to find new things to try there and then source them locally when I get back home. Highly recommend, even if you're just visiting Middletown.

I've gone to this market a few times now, and although I love the selection of food, the male staff always seems to be so incredibly snotty and rude. And for the prices, I shouldn't have to deal with such rudeness. For instance, I just came back from trying to order a sandwich from the back. The young man literally rolled his eyes at me when I ask a very simple question. (God forbid he might need to do his job). When I told him politely that I was all set, he shrugged his shoulders and says whatever. Another recent visit, I had asked the person working at the front counter (an older man) for a receipt and he too rolled his eyes at me. The only reason I give this market two stars is because the women that work here are wonderful, helpful, and not rude. I'm not sure what the deal is, however I will not be returning to this store. It's just too expensive and the nastiness of the employees just ruins my day.
