Update: After this review, the manager, Ruth, promptly reached out to me. Not only did she allay my concerns, but she also promptly rectified the situation and made things better. I am happy with this old-school customer service where things are made right. I was initially worried that my concerns would fall on deaf ears but it didn't. This restored my confidence in this medical office. Hi, I just made a call today on 02/25/20 at 11:25 and spoke to a rude receptionist. I was told a month ago to call around the last week of February to schedule an eye exam for March. However when I called today, she told me I have to do the eye exam in June/July before the doctor can give me prescriptions. I can’t wait that long as I needed glasses for graduate school. This was the most unpleasant experience I had with the receptionist for this office. This usually never happens.

I am a disabled adult on disability with social security, Every couple of years social security sends me to a doctor of their choice to follow up that I am still disabled from the disability I was born with that is not correctable. This visit was not by my choice or would I ever recommend them to anybody. My whole life I dealt with bullying because of my disability. My whole life I have seen multiple specialist, I have never encountered such lack of patience sensitivity. I saw Dr. Lui on 2-4-19 Dr Lui used a offensive term that is used to bully, With tears in my eyes I brought it to his attention the term he used was only used to bully someone and that it was not the correct medical term and with a smart remark asked me what was the term I used. At no point did I receive an apology from him during this visit after I called him out. As soon as I left the room in tears I asked to speak with someone in charge which led me to Ruth Gasso, Who was not in office at the time. I emailed her Word-for-word of the encounter, she continuously defends Dr Lui regardless how much I point out his lack of patience sensitivity and how he bullied me with his incorrect medical terms. Ruth thinks most patients are unaware of medical terms so it's OK for Dr Lui to use the inappropriate words. Ruth even went as far to say " As his peers we know him to be a qualified, caring and competent physician in every aspect. As I mentioned to you previously I feel, as well as Dr. Liu that you may have misunderstood. He felt bad that this upset you. " So now she makes me as it was my fault because I miss understood the doctor when he was bullying me. Ruth keeps mentioning that Dr Lui Is apologetic, yet I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN APOLOGY. Regardless of how much I point out to her how this is not OK She continuously Comes up with an excuse to justify his action.
