Authentic Vietnamese food. If you’re looking for delicious simple Vietnamese food then look no further. In the weekend you’re probably going to wait over an hour for a table at lunch. But it’s worth i... more

Feedback:
One of the best places to get pho in Orange County. Yes, there are countless other pho restaurants nearly every block in Garden Grove/Westminster, but nothing has compared to Pho 79’s fast service and tasty food. The service will not always be the best it can be (i.e. they won’t be checking up on you every so often or refilling water/tea frequently), but it’s really not even that bad and they have gotten better over the years. Parking is minimal during peak hours and there are sometimes 30-45 minute waits, but the food is worth it.TIP: If you’re going with a friend and notice there’s a wait, just have your friend get off to sign in while the driver looks for parking in the meantime.Personal Favorites:- Pho Tai: Rice noodle soup with rare beef- Com Ga Sot Bo Toi: Crispy chicken with garlic butter sauce on riceRating: 9/10
Feedback:
Their Pho is really good. Broth is really thick and has unique taste I couldn't taste in any others places. Their Egg rolls are really good too. It comes with plenty of vegetable wrap. Only bad thing is they only take cash. Oh, taste their French coffee with condensed milk. I tried Salted Plum Soda for exotic experience and it was I don't think I will order again :) I highly recommend thos place.

The noodles were average and the shrimp was good but it doesn't make up for their poor service. How does it make sense for the appetizer to come out last? News flash, it doesn't. They don't take credit card apparently so I hope you're on your way to or from a strip club and have cash ready to throw around. It would've been nice to have known that but they didn't have a sign around that said "cash only". The owner only let me know after I already got the bill. Luckily for everyone, I carry a Jackson and Hamilton around because of situations like this. These situations shouldn't happen but it could if you roll the dice coming here. Sorry for the one girl working here who actually provided good service but her good merits won't salvage this place.
Feedback:
Prob some of the best pho I've had. I was seated immediately upon walking in around 7pm, placed my order, and it was to my table in less than 5 mins. The broth is really flavorful, there was adequate amounts of beef as well. The bowl sizes were a little smaller than I'm accustomed to (I got a Medium but felt it was around the size of a Small at other places I've been), so I'd def reccomend a large one. All in all a great restaurant
Feedback:
I came in with my cousin around 9 PM on a Saturday and it was still pretty packed so I had high hopes. However, the pho was mediocre, the wait staff didn't feel like working, and to top it all off, we found out it was cash only when we tried to pay the check. We probably should have looked around more but the only clear indicator was a sign at the front desk that says cash only. The owner of the joint had unintentionally blocked that from our view so we had no idea. There weren't any other clear indicators. Anyways, back to the pho. Granted I ordered the chicken pho, it did not impress me for such a highly rated establishment. The server even asked if I wanted white meat or dark meat and I was still given both! The server who eventually gave us our food also couldn't be bothered with a simple request and flat out ignored us. This place is overrate for sure.
Feedback:
This pho brings the same experience when sitting on a plastic chair designed for a child, two stroke engine fumes and sitting on the side walk eatting pho in vietnam. Thats how satisfied I was. Make sure you get the oxtail.
Feedback:
The food was good. The service was alright. We arrived at 6PM and there were plenty of spots to sit. Soon after sitting a server came to get our order. Drinks came out first and a bit after so did our food. From then on we were practically left alone. No server came to check on us and when water went dry there were no refills offered. We tried getting the attention of the servers but they were too busy getting the orders of other tables to notice us.The food tasted well and was worth it. We spent about ~$60 for a group of 5.
Feedback:
Had their oxtail and it was absolutely delicious. The first time I came I was pretty sure they were having an off day. It didn’t seem good to be. I am glad I came back on a different day to try it again. It was delicious. They have a small parking lot that gets pretty packed. They will seat you down pretty quickly and your food doesn’t take long to get to you after placing your order.
Feedback:
We were recommended by numerous people that have visited the area to not miss this spot. Parking is limited due to how popular they are. However, if you go at night, you can park on the other side as those businesses are closed... Except the liquor store. We called and the restaurant employee instructed us to do so. They are packed and there's. Line, but due to the nature of the food offered, table turnover is pretty quick and you will probably spend 20 to 30 mins in line. They have a banner listing them as a 2019 James Beard Classic Restaurant. They are known for one main dish: Pho DAC Biet. We ordered that and was not disappointed. It was one of the best pho broths that I have ever had! It was rich in flavor, yet not heavy. The meat slices were the usual and the meatballs were typical. Frankly, it's all about the broth. I slurped that all up. Like another reviewer pointed out, I wish the broth was a little hotter. However, I wonder if hotter would break down the main broth over time as I noticed this at another pho joint we regularly eat at back home. Definitely worth going to in my books!
Feedback:
Hands down one of the top pho spots I’ve ever been to! We arrived just in time for lunch on a weekday and had a number of parties ahead of us. One of my friends, a Pho 79 pro, walked up and put our name on the list that is tethered to the door. There were plenty of plastic stools outside for those seeking to take a seat. After waiting about 15 minutes, we got a table and were quickly served on by friendly staff.
