Love the atmosphere! Very very welcoming which is great for a beginner like me! Each machine has a picture of how to use it and what muscles it targets. Super helpful! And if you do have any questions, you can ask a worker. Adequate space to do all workouts and stretches. Very clean facility with any and all amenities you’d need. The hydro massage is my favorite! Definitely recommended!

At Planet Fitness in Cathedral City my car was stolen on Friday afternoon (02/7/20). Someone stole my keys from the female locker room and then stole my car. Police was called and a report was filed. I am very frustrated because staff is incompetent on how to operate the camera system. They have not identified the person(s) yet or recovered my car. My identity has been stolen alone with credit cards. It is unacceptable that management has not taken further actions to resolve this situation. I will be taking legal action on this matter.

So, I'm a snowbird who was in Cathedral city for 3 weeks while chasing nice weather. I spoke to World Gym and was told $99 for a month membership. I stopped at Planet Fitness, which was running a special of $0.20 sign up fee and $9.99 a month, so I jumped in. I'm not into aerobic exercise but they have a ton of machines that fit everyone's goals. They have resistance machines and free weights too. I never had to wait for a machine/weighs. The clientele ranged from body builders to baby boomers. There was always someone to help, answer questions. I actually have considered checking into a franchise because it was such a great experience.

Disappointing. Came in for a quick shower while on the road and 3 of 4 showers in the women’s lockers were broken (missing handles, broken handles and no water coming out). The only one that worked didn’t have hot water. So I took a quick cold shower just to get clean. Ugh! Not what I was hoping for after a long day of travel. Gym was typical, but didn’t have time to workout. Parking was nice and well lit. Plentiful too.

Nice new, clean, but still has no WIFI and they advertise free WIFI. Not enough of some machines and too many of others, thank god it is always slow when I am there, also no scale to weigh yourself and not enough ceiling fans. I have been to a lot of Planet Fitness locations and this one could be so much better, one day they were out of paper towels and the staff knew, could have run to the Food for less and bought some but no. 8/14/2019- Still NO WIFI, TO THE OWNER it should be your job to take care of this, Planet Fitness advertises free WIFI, Live up to your part of the agreement

Is a great place to go and work out, there is a big parking lot so you don't have to worry about it.The employees are nice and helpful, the equipment are always clean.The bathroom/locker room are big and clean.

Nice to see so many positive reviews. I never started. Walking through the door was fine. A young lady chewing on gum, hair going every which way, waited on me. While talking with me she was in a discussion with another person too. I had called before to ask if they took Silver Sneakers. Was told yes. As we began the tour she prompts that the rules have changed, and she was unsure if they took that plan now. I said why take the tour. I suggested she find out the answer and email me. I am still waiting for her response. Actually I did contact my Insurance Carrier, and yes some plans changed. Their didn't. As well, Planet Fitness still takes the plan. But the vibe started wrong. I may go back after reading so many positive reviews. But right now I am not so enthusiastic. Seriously, I got the impression she just didn't care.In the end I found 1440 which has just become FitFix on Roman. Great gym, very nice people run/own it. And the clientele is nice. If you have a question, it is quickly answered. I am very please to have found my go to place.

Friendly and polite front staff however they only employ one individual for cleaning the locker rooms. This is a problem since they currently have a male to clean the female locker room during the day. This is not fair to him or the female patrons. How can he be expected to do his job if he has to leave when females are in changing? I don't understand why this is allowed - he is always in there whether or not there are females using the washroom or are at their lockers!! Ridiculous!! You have to tell him that you want to change and/or shower and only then does he leave. Spoke to the manager about it and she doesn't seem to think it is wrong or concerning for patrons! Will not be going back!! 2 STARSFollow up - I want to thank whoever made he decision to employ a woman to clean the ladies locker room!! Someone was listening and am very happy with their decision!! THANK YOU! 4 STARS

Well managed gym with friendly staff. I only wish the floor plan allowed for treadmills to be closer to the TVs since I am dependent on reading closed caption. Having one side of the floor reversed would give the (majority of) cardio exercisers using treadmills a better position for viewing. Oh and can you put a TV on the Food Network.

I'm not sure what to expect for $10 a month plus an Initiation fee. If you're looking to do cardio they have quite a few treadmills and elliptical machines. They also have a area for a quick 30 minute workout with basic workout machines. I'm not overly impressed with there elliptical machines or their workout equipment. They do have an area for stretching which is helpful. You can get an enhanced membership for around $21 a month that allows you to use they're suntanning machines, massage chairs and to bring a guest anytime you go. The upgrade also allows you to use other Planet Fitness Gyms that are not your home gym.
