This is what I have experienced watching ADEQ in action.ADEQ is a national leader in providing leading edge, balanced environmental protection for the citizens of Arizona while simultaneously fostering economic growth for the state. Also, the agency is leading the way in simplifying government operations with the focus on customer satisfaction for people and businesses that are required to interact with the agency. By eliminating waste, duplication and bureaucratic red tape, ADEQ seeks to provide faster and more effective services for its customers. The efforts seem to be paying off because ADEQ is the pilot agency for integrating Lean Management principles into government services. Other state agencies will do the same when ADEQ proves that Lean management works even in service industry government agencies. One more way that Arizona government is looking to enhance life for state citizens.Customer service is great. Permit processing is very efficient. Never longs lines to conduct business with ADEQ. I have seen people walk in to pay for services, and then watched those same customers head out the door within 10 minutes or fewer with a payment receipt in hand. Try to get that same speedy service at the driver's license bureau or the police station finger printing office. ADEQ is working for us! Thumbs up, and 5 stars.
