I'm currently a medical card holder as of 2017. I've been to different states that allow medical cannabis. This place used to be called Salveo Health and Wellness and I loved that place. Everyone knew what they were talking about and they were very helpful. I went to Salveo for 3 years and I give them 5 stars. Then in 2020 it changed to Rise and Rise sorry you get 1 star. I drive an hour and fourty minutes to go here and an hour and fourty back(closer places dont stock enough). The past 3 visits my spot in line was lost(for different reasons out of my control)causing me to stay extra time. No big deal just thought I would mention that never happened to me at Salveo in 3 the years of going there(something about forgetting a customer waiting in line just made me feel unimportant). The prices are different for recreational users so Rise does discounts for medical patients to make up the difference. Except I did the math and certain more popular items went up in price by more than 10%. For example the flower they call "popcorn" went up in price(the nugs are usually smaller and less pretty). They sell popcorn nug at $225(about $205 after the 10% medical card holder discount) for 14 grams. At Salveo it was $160 for 14 grams not sure why this changed. Well wouldnt you be upset if the price of your medicine went up? Furthermore, since I was paying less for 3 years I feel bad for the new medical card holders who think they are getting a good deal. Walking in seeing all the "10% off for medical card holders" is nice but not when you know the prices skyrocketed when the name changed to Rise in 2020. On another note the employees are very helpful and the recreational part is nice(a nice distraction from the high prices). The selection is vast where they usually have something close to what your looking for. I still give 1 star for two reasons. The price increase, and the lack of professionalism(Go to other states dispensaries and you'll understand what I mean). Rise why am I paying more money for my medicine post 2020? This is coming from a customer who will spend no more. I didnt even get a birthday card this year(Thank you Salveo for your awesomeness).... In my opinion grow your own and dont use the dispensaries. Today I drove from Peoria to Canton to check this place out. Initially everyone was nice & helpful. I made my selections then went to the ATM to withdraw some cash (they only accept cash). The ATM I was on as well as the second went down on myself & another customer simultaneously. I went to tell the clerk & who I assume is his manager which was standing behind him. Neither offered any help simply shrugged their shoulders. I went home empty handed. Then I checked my bank balance & the money was withdrawn. I called to ask for help but no one there can help. I am out $60. I have to dispute the transaction through the bank. Please don't go here. The selection here was very limited & very expensive & they had no flower for recreational users.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. They made the process of getting my medical card a lot less stressful, which I'm forever grateful for! My first trip as a medical patient went smoothly and I felt like I wasn't rushed AT ALL, James helped me and made me feel at ease the whole time. I was able to get everything I wanted and also received a nice discount! I'd also like to add that every single employee I encountered was friendly and professional! I'm really, really impressed with their staff. Cannot wait to go back for the goodies but also the overall experience 😊

My husband has been a patient here since he was diagnosed the 2nd time with colon cancer. They were incredibly helpful getting his card. They practically did everything for him. It is really convenient ordering online bc I can help him with research on what will benefit him the best and throw it in his cart and he can just go in and pick it up. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. Also very helpful with any questions either of us may have. I would recommend this place to anyone with medical card. As far as rec goes I’m not familiar but what I do know is they spent a long time getting ready for it. And put a lot of work into it so they would be prepared with the way they run things I think it’s probably good for that too.

What a great experience! Employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Especially if you are a first time shopper. (I am a medical customer, and walked in clueless about the options available for me.)Explain to them the ailments you are hoping to treat, and they can guide you towards products that will fit your needs. I had recently quit smoking cigarettes so I did not want a "flower" product. I also did not want a product that left me feeling too "high". With the employee's help I was able to find several edibles that had the qualities I was looking for. With the upcoming expansion after the 1st of the year 2020, I'm looking forward to more options and variety.Well done Salveo! (Salveo will be known as Rise after January 1st 2020.)

-Takes advantage of uninformed customers.-Prices are +$10-50 PER ITEM more than every other IL dispensary-Almost never offers anything in "bulk" (1/8 of concentrates or 1/2 of flowers.-Always out of shake, overpriced when they do have it. Literal jaw- dropping prices. They take advantage of the uninformed/elderly by selling overpriced products (+$10-50 PER ITEM more than every other IL dispensary). I would recommend using any other dispensary and getting educated so as to not get ripped off. 1/8 oz. is roughly equal to 3.54 gramsReasonable prices in Illinois for the current market are:Flowers:~15% THC - Don't Buy. The grower messed up and is trying to offload a failed product.~20% THC - $35-40 for 1/8 oz. and $120-140 for 1/2 oz.~25% THC - $40-50 for 1/8 oz.~30% THC - $50-60 for 1/8 oz and $140-160 for 1/2 oz.Pre-Rolls: Should follow flower prices pretty closely. All rolling is automated by machines so it adds very little to the cost.Concentrates:~50% THC "Moon Rocks" (singular exception to the next rule) - $80-100 for 1/8 oz.<85% THC Wax/Shatter/Budder/Crumble/Oil/Etc. Don't Buy.>85% THC Wax/Shatter/Budder/Crumble/Oil/Etc. $50-60 per gram and $120-160 per 1/8 oz (~3.5 grams)>85% THC Live Resin/Rosin/Sugar/Etc. $50-70 per gram and $140-160 per 1/8 oz (~3.5 grams)>98% THC anything. Unsure, I wouldn't pay more $80 per gram or $180-190 per 1/8 thoughEdibles: All edibles except RSO are a MAJOR ripoff. The value in not having to prepare it is purely personal though. RSO should be $50-70 per gram.Topical: Same as edibles, but even harder or sometimes nearly impossible to make at home.Vapes: Personal preference? Out of the 10 or so (7+ carts, 3 disposable) over 4 brands I've tried, I would rate all of them 0/10 with one leaky (unreturnable!) at NA/10.Burns your throat worse than anything else I've ever tried, while delivering medication at a snail's pace. Maybe useful to a brand new patient that has been smoking several packs of cigs a day for years? Can't think of anyone else I'd condemn to that. AVOID.They're the shady auto dealership of MMJ dispensaries, just with a new, fancier coat of paint.
