Best care anywhere. Let me tell you a story. I was riding my bicycle when I flipped it over and crashed. I was concerned I had broken a rib and the skin of my right forearm was definitely shredded. I... more

Whenever I have an appointment at this place I have to wait for a long time because they forget I checked in, well sometimes they say they’re sorry but most of the times they show bad attitudes. Overall the staff are not so professional. I used to go to the VA hospital at Pittsburgh, PA. The great service I received at PA is not comparable with LA’s at all. Los Angeles has the worst services for veterans.

(Translated by Google) The place is a veteran clinic and the Grey's Anatomy hospital location! If there are few people and politely ask to come and take pictures they authorize in a good way, the security even tell curiosities of the recordings. On the catwalk where Derek took the shot you can't get in, it's locked. Oh, it's a hell of a lot, but I don't regret a second of going(Original)O local é uma clÃnica de veteranos e a locação do hospital de Grey's Anatomy!

no list of extensions for different departments so i have to stay on the phone and listen to that stupid voice over and over again. he asks if you know your parties extension. how is it possible to know your parties extension if you can't find it. then you are put on hold for ever till some one answers. then you tell them where you want to go and they switch you without telling you the extension you are being switched to then you get to wait again until the unknown extension finally answers. this is stupid and time wasting for all.

I will give 0 if possible. I have called the clinic since Monday and I just got a called back today Thursday (4 days later). I told them I neede to make an appt. next available January 12 because that is when the doctor gets back, did I know that, NO. They said if I wanted to bee seen, I have to go as a walk-in and wait until a doctor is free to see me. I have a throat infection that needs to bee seen since my tonsil are swollen (you can see them touch each other). I don't go to a private doctor because I can't afford regular insurance or a office visit. This is CRAZY. They should have a stand by doctor for situations like this. Now I have to waste my day sitting here until I am seen.
Feedback:
I called in twice trying to see if I can file an additional VA claim instead of having to use a whole day to go to West LA. First, I got transferred to a call center for West LA and was told to call back again to the Sepulveda location. Called back again and explained what happen and the operator had a hard time reaching someone on-site. He only got a hold of an extension with a voicemail. THIS IS WHY US VETS HATE THE VA. YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS EVEN FOR SIMPLE INQUIRIES.
Feedback:
The very professional L.A. Sepulveda VA doctors and staff went out of their way to expedite my two morning appointments, in order that my friend could drive me to my 1:00 p.m. endoscope appointment at the Long Beach VA. Both he and I took off work so I could get to both VA facilities. Five minutes away from the Long Beach VA facility I get a cell call that my appointment is just a consult and not necessary. I told them my consult is the following Friday, my procedure is today at 1:00. The Long Beach VA employee insisted they were right and cancelled my appointment, so we turned around to drive home another 1 1/2 hours on a rainy freeway. Later, I checked the appointment letters they sent to me and found I was right. It was actually the bariatric surgeon who called in the instructions to cancel a procedure he wasn't even involved with thinking it was a consult with him. I won't mention the name of this doctor, but if he is this careless with my schedule he might ultimately be just as careless with my surgery.
Feedback:
I had been complaining of back pain for 2 yrs. (following an injury received in service). After 2 yrs I was sent to xray and physical therapy. I was basically told my xrays were normal, and the physical therapist saw me 3 times and told me there was nothing more she could do for me. Having been in xray school at the time, I began my internship at an orthopedic center, and I asked the spinal specialist there about my symptoms. HE recommended an MRI. After requesting one, several times at the VA I was told that MRI's are for "cover your ass" doctors and it would not change my course of treatment (or lack there of). After getting private insurance last year, I began seeing a private PCP, who sent me to physical therapy. After 3 months of therapy, my therapist sent me for a second opinion since I was not improving. The second opinion therapist requested and MRI and orthopedic specialist evaluation. After my MRI and evaluation, I learned that I have multiple issues with the bone and soft tissue of my lower back, and will be requiring surgery. Had the VA not ignored me for 2 yrs, maybe surgery could have been avoided. Had they done an MRI, issues would have been found a lot sooner, and maybe surgery would have been avoided if not reasonably delayed. The VA's motto is "serving those who served", but they only served their own interest. I spent 4+ years trying to figure out what is wrong with my back and how to improve it. The VA ignored me. After being under private insurance, I was able to learn what was going on with my back and how to fix it within 7 months. While the solution (surgery) isn't what I want to do, at least now I have answers.
