If what you're looking for is a "fine dining" experience, this place is not for you. It's as casual as it gets: you're served picnic-style---on paper plates with plastic utensils. For a place on the... more

Maybe it was an off night for the Cook or it was a new fry guy but the food was definitely 'off'. The breading on the calamari was falling off and was not crispy by any means. I had been looking forwa... more

This is an awesome local fresh seafood market with a great selection of high quality, fresh seafood. We've had the lobster tails, shrimp cocktail, and clams. Going to try some fresh fish fillets the next time we are there. Everything comes right off the boats behind the shop. If you're looking for good and fresh try Shore Fresh Point Pleasant Beach

I have never had a bad experience at either of their locations. Clams on the half have always been served perfectly opened and ice cold. I get a dozen top necks every visit. Slurp them right out of the shell. I am partial for the fried flounder sandwich or the seafood combo. Fish always fried perfectly with a light batter and the hand cut fries are outstanding. All the fish on display in the market look extremely fresh but I love flounder and cod so that s what I order. Not fancy here paper plates and plastic utensils Fair prices and good portions but most important fresh off the boat fish and shellfish. Day boat sea scallops are often a daily special and worth a try if you're a scallop person. They come right off the dredgers that off load their bags right behind the restaurant. We avoid Point in summer because being a local and living on the north side of the 35 bridge can't handle the crowds and traffic.

Maybe it was an off night for the Cook or it was a new fry guy but the food was definitely 'off'. The breading on the calamari was falling off and was not crispy by any means. I had been looking forward to trying the fish and chips with the cod all day. Once again the breading was falling off and the fish was falling apart and not in a good way. I sent it back. My two male companions ordered the seafood combo and said it was just okay. They said the shrimp was overcooked, as was the crab cake. The one thing I can say was excellent was the New England clam chowder. Our waitress Barbara was excellent as well. However, I don't see us going back.

Amazing!!! Lobster bisque is a must! Also the Ravioli with stuff lobster and penne with the vodka lobster sauce is so delicious you'll want to lick the pan. It was the best thing we ate since we were down the shore. I would have wish we ate all our meals from Shore Fresh Seafood Market and Restaurant! It's a must and the prices are very affordable! I'll go down the shore just for to have the meal again!

So been here a few times now and it is some of the best seafood I have ever had. Than take into consideration their pricing. You are getting amazing seafood for a third the price of some of the surrounding places and it's better! Why spend 3 times as much when you can go here and get some of the best tasting and freshest seafood I have had.

Great location, nice staff, loved the fish market, enjoyed the food, BUT...if you're a fish lover / ocean dependant restaurant on a pier, please get rid of single use plastic cutlery wrapped in more plastic, get rid of the single use plastic straws.Stainless steel cutlery is the best, then bamboo is an alternative. Straws are useless anyway, but some are made ''compostable''.It's 2019, be part of the solution.

Decided to eat here because of the good reviews. Ordered the blackened tuna, coleslaw, fries, New England clam chowder and coleslaw. The blackened tuna was a tasteless blob, didn’t taste any blackened seasoning, tasted like it was just slapped on the grill. Coleslaw was okay, nothing special very tiny serving. Clam chowder had a good flavor but the potatoes were half cooked and hard. The fries were good , fresh and hot, my problem is that they were just thrown in a greasy brown paper bag, would be nice if they were in a container before being dumped in the brown paper bag. Not worth a second trip from me.

My grandson and I had a memorable meal at Shore Fresh Seafood Market & Restaurant in Point Pleasant after a a great day of fishing. Having spent the afternoon out on the high seas, we brought our appetites to Shore Fresh. My first impression was that things were not going to work out well, in spite of enthusiastic recommendations. Parking was tight, but that worked out well, and there appeared to be a line of people to be seated, but, it turned out, we were seated without much of a wait.My grandson enjoyed is calamari appetizer, while I had mussels as an appetizer. I found the mussels were delightful with delicious drawn butter and a hint of lemon. My grandson proceeded to have fish and chips, with the fish having a crunchy batter and moist flaky fish. He was particularly happy with his fries... er, make that chips. I enjoyed the crabmeat stuffed flounder, which was quite good. At this point I would like to note that many restaurants that have busy times, as Shore Fresh did the weekend night we were there, can be disappointing in preparation or presentation. Not so Shore Fresh: all of our meals were perfect. Kudos to the kitchen. We were also impressed by the quality of the service. Service was attentive, and made for an excellent experience. We'll be back.

this place is BYOB but it is also BYOE (bring your own everything else) If you dont want to contribute to an appealing amount of waste with your dinner, then this place is not for you. (also if you're thinking about a place that's handicap accessible then this place is not for you either) it's so hard to eat the food here without looking at the mountains of plastic waste that leaves each table. I dont know what left a worse taste in my mouth, the overwhelming lemon taste of my penne vodka or the hundreds of dollars worth of disposable items being sent to the landfill.with all the new eco friendly initiatives that we are starting to see, I hope this place takes a few notes.

This was an excellent casual, local seafood restaurant, with plenty of options for my non-seafood-eating kiddos, as well. The food was so fresh and delicious-- I ordered the broiled seafood combo, and particularly loved the scallops. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. When we come back to Point Pleasant, we will come back!
