Overall Feedback:

One star is too many. I am being forced to use this place by my insurance and in the long run that's a terrible decision that will drive up their costs. They sat on my order of desperately needed wound care supplies since before Christmas. I have had two severe infections since then and basically haven't been able to leave home because doing so with multiple wounds exposed risks my life. I don't think they have any experience at all working with wound care supplies, because nobody I spoke to knew anything about bandages. I ended up having to research the items numbers for everything and provide them to an employee there. Their website has exactly 2 items listed under the wound care tab, gauze rolls and gauze rolls. No a confidence instilling fact. So after my doctor faxed over yet another prescription detailing what was needed they decided to modify the referral and refused to make the ethical choice to send items that were already approved About a month after they got the order they were faxed a new approved authorization on January 22, 2020. I called and called to relate how desperately I needed supplies and was met with the casual indifference of a professional who waits for things to happen rather than one who is proactive and makes things happen with a sense of awareness about the very vulnerable clientele they choose to serve They sat on that approval for about 20 days because my phone was out of order. Because leaving the house poses a life-threatening risk for me without wounds being bandaged so I had not been able to visit my bank, pay bills or buy food. Not to mention I had spoken to them numerous times, they had verified my shipping info and had they been listening should have understood the severity of the situation.I finally spoke to the insurance who contacted them and instructed them to fill the order. Even then it took a week and when I got it crucial items were missing and they had somehow decided I didn't actually need the quantities requested. When I called I was met with indifference. The person was going off the original order, not the actual prescription from my doctor nor the authiri THEY HAD MODIFIED. Then I was grilled about how many wounds I have as if I needed to justify or beg them to send me the supplies that have already been pre approved and authorized for payment. For example I was to receive 360 of one thing and this company who has shown zero knowledge regarding wound care chose to send me 30. Other things they just flat out ignored. I am left wondering if someone is pocketing the payment for the 320 bandages that have already been authorized for payment? It is not their job to withhold my supplies and then demand I justify needing them.So here I sit still without what I need to be safe. I will disclose that I have a genetic ailment called epidermylosis bullosa. I was born with my skin falling off and it's a miracle i am even alive after multiple and endless hospitalizations for sepsis. When I called today I was brushed off again, and told that the person who withheld my supplies would "review my complaint" with a supervisor. I asked when I could expect the missing supplied and the answer was "Well, they'll talk about it today...so may they'll call you this week.." to which I say what the heck is there to "review" when they are in possession of a prescription from my doctor and an approved authorization from my insurance? Seriously? So while I despise leaving a bad review because everyone has bad days...I feel strongly that it is necessary to do so because I am being forced to use this company that is receiving government dollars and holds a contract to exclusively supply durable medical items to managed care Medicaid recipients who are vulnerable and often cannot advocate for themselves when faced with situations like this. They have no business delivering wound care supplies when the people interacting with the public are so clearly in over their heads and are unable to provide any kind of guidance or knowledge about their inventory. Hope they don't kill me with apathy.
