Absolutely loved this place when we visited.. we sat outside as door man were alot happier than staff inside..Still loved it and soooooo relaxed lolWeed was brill and we visited every day we were there!!!People complaining about bag checks, with what's going on in the world I dont blame them at all...

Staff are very rude. I bought a pre-rolled and barely took a sit, when guy (167-170cm height, turkish looking guy from staff came up and said "get out, you didn't buy a beverage so cannot have a sit here", then when I request to show me the rules, he came up with the security and took me of from place to the street. I left there my gloves and hat. I should've been call to police!!!

A completely different vibe to most of all the other coffeeshops i have visited in Amsterdam.It is vibrant as it is located in the main square with all the pubs and bars.I liked to frequent here inbetween bars and when the mixture of alcohol and weed hits this coffeeshop can be a really good vibe.I haven't visited during the day but at night it's nice to sit and chill out for a while.

We wanted to enter the store and there was a man there who asked us to check our bag and ourselves to see if we had bottles? Never seen this before, he touched me without asking (not in weird places ofc, just outside of my jacket's pockets) and we had 2 very weird red bull inside the bag because we had a long day but just didn't happen to drink. We wouldn't try to drink them inside (and it was night, why would we drink energy drink so late?), and only that they think this way of their costumers is disgusting. And they didn't let us in. Come on. We have better things to do than sneaking inside something to drink. We wanted to enjoy some green, but very disappointed from the way they treat their costumers.

We tried to enter the shop and there was a man who asked to check our bags and ourselves for bottles. What is this? We had a long day in the center and we had some supplies with us and happened to have a red bull we didnt drink so we were not allowed inside. Its not like we went there with our own drinks. We had many things with us. What should we have done? Throw them? So that we could enter to buy weed? I found very disturbing they way they treat their potential costumers. And the guy wasn't polite either.

Over 10 years ago - Bachelor Party - group of Americans men visited your establishment several times over a weekend. Remember us? No? What's that? You get tons of Americans visiting all the time and ten years is a long time ago. Okay, sure. But! We remember you and we remember you very fondly. We were so young and full of adventure. If we visited you again - perhaps we can feel that way again. Memories are dreams painted with brighter colours than what reality provides. We lost our youth. We spent it like currency throughout your beautiful city. Any chance we can get some of it back, please? But Smokey Coffeeshop - you have a great place there so you get 5 stars from me.

I liked the vibe of this place. The staff were nice and informative. As a very rare smoker, I don't know a lot about weed and actually only just learned the difference between indica and sativa. So, clearly I asked a lot of questions at the counter. The guy was nice and answered calmly all my questions which I appreciated. But it was something I found in common with the other weed cafés, so I think it's just a general Dutch café etiquette. I don't know but I like it. The whole concept of legal weed is still weird for me so my trip to Amsterdam was definitely amusing to me. I went to this café because I heard it's one of the most popular, so I think the general public should know their stuff. It's definitely worth a visit. The weed were not so expensive also.

This was the first coffee shop I visited in Amsterdam. We passed by it and the lit up sign was cliché in a cute way. Inside it reminds me of Bob Marley stoner meets dive bar. It’s really chill, dim lit, and has colorful string lights on the ceiling. There’s a cool vending machine that has snacks and lighters, etc. They also sell pipes which is really nice. The staff was pretty friendly and the music was cool.
