Seems to be a great mountain, but I went there early in the year, so I couldn't get a full read on it. Base area was quite nice, but a little confusing as you first pull up-it was hard to tell at first glance if there was pick-up/drop-off area. Trails seemed real good, with good snowmaking ability, but I would like to see it mid-stride during the season before I gave a final opinion on it.

Best Mountain i've stepped foot on in Maine, and I work there so I shouldn't love it as much as I do but let me tell ya. I friggin' love it.

Resorts are notorious gathering places for social status purveyors. I am a down-to-earth gentleman with no concern for that sort of small-minded bigotry. That said, their meals, while considerably pricey, are well worth every penny. In addition much of the price can be attributed to it's somewhat isolated, off-the-beaten-path location. This is not a place you bring the family for Sunday dinners unless your tossing a few hundred dollars down without batting a lash. But the amazing backdrop of Maine's idyllic mountain views makes even that a small price to pay.

Place was busy, lot's of shop's and places to eat. Condition were great for skiing and snowboarding.

Feedback:

This place is stunningly beautiful. I'm only giving 3 stars though because we had lunch at the Bag and when I used the restroom, there were dead roaches on the floor. That was disgusting. Otherwise, the sheer beauty of this place is enough to give it 5 stars.

This is our second visit, came last winter however coul not ski because of bad weather. This time we really got to enjoy all the amenities and fun to learn skiing. As first time skiers, we strongly recommend to take a skiing lesson (Harold is the best and most patient instructor ever). A single lesson is included with your visit (dont quote me) so take advantage of it. We did not stay at the hotel but at the Gondole Village, it is perfect choice for people with kids that plan to use the daycare (located in the same building on first floor), it is also 2 minutes away from the main base and has its own lift on the back of the building. Event though the resort is expensive, we were able to get a good deal and booked way in advance. We ate at the Deli and the pizza, good affordable choices if you not planning to eat at the hotel.
