We had the original poutine. Not sure why I had thought that the cheese curds should be warm, they were cold chunks. It was like we were eating pieces of string cheese with gravy! The gravy was delicious. Waitress was no help in choosing drinks and my husband ended up with a really hoppy beer when he was trying to avoid that. She needs training on what she's serving. She acted a bit impatient too to get our order. It is a cool place with good potential, just need to step it up.
Feedback:
We stopped in because we served the word beignets on the window. the beignets were a little bit large but the raspberry sauce was amazing.plenty of powdered sugar enough to keep any sweet tooth satisfied. How to glass other house wine Cabernet acceptable a good portion maybe 5 oz pore. We have been 3x now, and everything I have ordered-I really enjoyed. It is made fresh, no packaged items that are heated. A unique menu, great portions, lots of variety-even if you are GF or dairy free.

Cute place in the heart of downtown Escondido but thought some of the food was a touch bland for my liking. My husband ordered the shrimp po boy which was excellent and I ordered the pulled pork macaroni and cheese. While the mac had the right texture (the noodles were well cooked and not mushy - a common complaint I have with macaroni and cheese) the dish was kind of bland. A sharper cheese to cut through the pulled pork would have made a more balanced plate.
Feedback:
The environment here is friendly, and laid back. A great place whether you want to grab a beer with friends, or have lunch with family. Everything is made in house, and the food is delicious! The brisket falls apart in your mouth as you eat it. The employees are also highly attentive. Definitely worth checking out, they will not disappoint!
Feedback:
Very disappointed with what I hoped would be a new smoked bbq find for me. I had the brisket plate with what was supposed to be dirty rice. The brisket was not fresh and I have never seen dirty rice like that served. I also had a side of hush puppies that was just ok. The brisket plate cost 12.99 and when added with the cost of a coke brought my bill total to just under 17.00. I guess I will just have to keep looking for a good bbq place up in north county.

H Brothers is a neat little lunch/dinner spot on Grand Avenue. We arrived around 4pm on a Sat and the place was pretty empty, but by the time we left around 5pm it was about half full. The interior design is simple, modern, and artsy. The vibe is laid back and the employees definitely fit the establishment but gave very good service to my wife and I. We were informed of the special of the day and ended up sharing a delicious Apple Walnut Salad, Brisket Plate with roasted veggies & fries, and some Beignets for dessert. The whole meal was less than $35 with tip and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor of the food. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't been.
Feedback:
Food was great. Had the pulled pork plate with roasted vegetables and hush puppies as sides. Pulled pork came with a tasty BBQ sauce and a sweet mustard. Both a great compliment to the meat. Hush puppies came with a honey sauce. Wife for the special which was a chicken tzatziki wrap which she really enjoyed. Started with the regular poutine which we had never tried before. Enjoyed it though it was super salty. Service was great and friendly.
Feedback:
Absolutely delicious! Let's go backwards first and start with the end of the meal first. I have never had a Beignet before but my daughter who accompanied me had several when she was in New Orleans. I asked how she liked and was it as good as New O? She said NO.....EVEN BETTER! It was scrumptious! So we split the apple salad and the seafood melt. Both were outstanding! The service was grea , very friendly! Prices were perfect! I cant wait to go back again.
Feedback:
The few times I've been here and gotten a sandwich, the meat and toppings start to overtake the bun, piled on high and messy. I am still not sure if this is a error to be corrected or if the generous portions add to the excitement of a perfectly cooked chicken or savory-tender pulled pork. It don't think it matters as long as it still tastes this good.O and the hush puppies are fantastic. Fluffy!
Feedback:
Having recently gotten off the KetoCraze, H Brothers was an obvious first choice to enjoy a delicious burger, poutine, and craft beer on tap. The brothers are friendly, engaging and take pride in what they are putting out! This is a newer establishment along Escondido's Grand Ave and a much welcomed addition. The restuarant is open and well lit and clean. The house made chocolate cake is a special treat too!
