Feedback:

Male bartender last night was extremely rude and unprofessional. Never have been treated so poorly and it was our first experience there will never go again unfortunately and won't recommend. I will be speaking more to management about what happened. The other bartender took care of us so it's a shame when a bad employee ruins it for a business.

Always great. We stopped in again on Saturday after starting at Dirty Oscars. Really glad we came here for food instead, our server Alyssa was awesome. The service was great, the happy hour prices were phenomenal, the food was fantastic and the drinks were great. Really can't say enough about Crown. I've visited off and on for years and they always do a great job.

Drinks were good, service was good, food not so much. We ordered pickle fries, spicy and good execution, but WAY too much salt. The sauce on the plate also too salty. There was no relief. Then came the tots with fried chicken, cheese curds and gravy? Sauce? The fried chicken pieces were super over cooked, dry and hard. The tots were well cooked, but once again, the whole dish was WAY too salty to eat, and the gravy soaked in to the middle. I was expecting a Tacoma take on poutine, but ended up not really enjoying it, and getting a major case of heartburn on the way home. My advice? Skip the food and just have drinks.

Feedback:

The secondary bartender/server walked by us without saying anything 6 times, I finally got up and went to the bar, two people got behind me, he asked them if they needed anything, got behind the bar, made their drinks, and served them first. The main bartender was great, and it's unfortunate that the other guy was such a terrible server or I'd give them more stars.

Feedback:

The atmosphere was perfect. Just loud enough to keep energy up without overwhelming our party. The drinks however we're inconsistent. The bartender mixed up variations on the drinks we ordered. Also, surprisingly, he absolutely refused to provide table service despite there being no place to stand to order from the bar. So every time we wanted a round took a lot of time.

Feedback:

Crown just isn't my cup of tea. I'm a beer guy and love a great tap list, but that just isn't the Crown's thing. They seem to be much more into mixed drink, which is totally fine. The food was alright, but nothing to die for. The service was the real bummer, though. I felt like I was being ignored while I was trying to get drinks at the bar. It took just far to long to get a drink and service. That was incredibly frustrating. .

Feedback:

This place needs help, the chicken and waffles were definitely not home made, I bet the waffles were from Costco. They were also out of half the items on the menu and our waiter didn't know anything about the food. Menu was a bit haphazard some items were missing descriptions and other items don't make sense. I can't recommend anyone come to this place, my experience was fairly close to terrible.

Feedback:

Always drove by this place on 6th ave and assumed it was a dive bar with typical bar food. One day the wife and I were looking for somewhere new to try and we gave it a whorl, and boy I'm glad we did. This is definitely not typical bar food and drinks. Everything is elevated and delicious. The patrons are all interesting characters in their own right and the bar keep is as friendly and knowledgeable as they come. If you're 21+ do yourself a solid and check this place out.

Feedback:

We were a group of six. The waitstaff were some of the best I've ever met. Super friendly and professional. Dishes are creative and delicious. What surprised us was how well priced everything was. Although the whole place did have a definite bar feel, it was amazingly clean. Cleaner than many upscale restaurants in Tacoma and especially Seattle. The owner was here that night, but she did not do the lame-ass "how is everything" table visits. Nothing worse than having to force polite small talk with a mouthful of food.Overall, our new favorite place!

Feedback:

The new ownership has embraced the business and kept all the best things about this place. Good service, bar tenders know their stuff and the atmosphere is quieter and more upscale than the nearby dive bars but not by any means boushy or stale. They are a tad more pricey because they have quality bottles and not just the cheap stuff. Worth the stop in.
