Well, i gave these guys 2 stars because i really love the shop and the employees have been great....until my last visit. The nice gal working the counter was friendly, but didn't mention that the cartridge i was buying on '20% off cartridges Thursday' needed a special battery in order to work, a battery that they don't currently have in stock. So now I'm stuck with a $30 cartridge of live resin that i can't use or return. I would have thought the sweet lady working would have mentioned that the cartridge needed special equipment in order to work BEFORE I left with it . Talk about a waste of money! What am i supposed to do now?

420 24/7 365 Prohibition in many states is over it'll soon become federally legal and no longer classified as a schedule 1 narcotic. Times have changed and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol should have never been illegal to begin w/. Better late than never. So make sure when you're here in Washington state or Oregon you make sure to stop and dab w/us.

Just left the New Amsterdam. My total came to 60.29 I had 60.28. So they counter guy says " I'll take one cent off of the bud" I said, " really!, he says "I'm cheap" he then cuts open the little foil/plastic bag that had to cost the owner more than $.01 and empties the pot back onto the scale. I turned to people in the store and asked if anyone had one penny. got it gave it to the guy and he proceeds to use a new bag to put my weed in. Seriously, dude needs to learn about customer service, I buy there at least once a month and spend about 60-80 $ each time. I recommend better staff training store owner.

Today I called on the phone to find out if it was true that they really had $5 eighths and I spoke to Nathaniel. He explained that yes they do really have that deal! It costs $6 for recreational. And it's some good old-fashioned outdoor dirt weed that you can probably roll some really great joints with. (Those are my words...not his) I really appreciated his honesty and also appreciated the Fantastic deals. I usually purchase wax or shatter products and the deals on that were spectacular as well. Thank you for making my phone call informative and easy.

Asked for flavorless distillate and was almost sold flavored CO2 and flavored distillate. Had to explain to the bud tender what distillate was and what flavorless meant.Giving 2 stars because they have a great 15% off if you come in before 11.

I came in wanting to support a neighborhood dispensary, but found the overall experience lacking. As more places get rid of the ID check at the door I hope New Amsterdam does the same. It creates an unnecessary sense of formality and aura of secrecy. My biggest complaint are the prices (on edibles at least). The Wyld gummy packs are over 30% more than my usual shop and if you want to use a debit card, the fee is $4. So it would be about $7 more for one pack of edibles. The average customer experience and meaningfully higher prices will probably not bring me back.

Just visited the Portland location and it looked like a nice, small, friendly kind of place that unfortunately is getting hard to find. I'm not new to this. I have a very specific taste and I gotta say they delivered. Biranha (she said like "piranha" but with a B), listened to what I needed, and upon in-home testing, came away with three very impressive products.No hype, small comfortable place with couches, (very nice) and budtenders (at least Biranah, or however the hell you spell it, sorry babe) that absolutely know what they are doing. If you want a Walmart kinda place and are a price buyer only this isn't your gig, although prices and selection are fair. What they had however, was some top shelf stuff. If you want a one on one kinda experience, or want to try some of the new, truly excellent stuff out there for pain, anxiety, insomnia, in a safe informed manner, check these guys out. And ask for Biranha.

Both Nathaniel and Gwendolyn were fantastic professionals. Nathaniel had superb recommendations, and encouraged me to buy a secondary product that resulted in an amazing experience. Nathaniel, if you're reading this, the next time I'm in town, I owe you and your girlfriend a drink, and you are definitely getting another high five. This is one of the best dispensaries that I have EVER been to. They have a great look and feel to the place, which usually comes with a higher price tag, so I so pleased to find that they had the best prices that I have come across yet. They also had a wonderful selection of product. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable, especially Gwendolyn. She was AMAZING, so bright and friendly and willing to really take the time to figure out our needs, the recommendations she made were spot on and we can't wait to come back!

I've been coming here since it opened and I've watched it grow into a great shop , with helpful staff, and great product / options . Today I had the pleasure of working with Gwendolyn and she was the best. Very friendly and informative . She helped me to find exactly what I wanted and gave me some information about my products that I hadn't known.The quality was excellent and the different price points were explained well.I also wanted to credit Gwendolyn with a stellar example of customer service. The customer just before me was an older woman who sounded like she was new to edibles from the little I heard. Gwendolyn took her time to explain effects and dosages and make sure the customer was comfortable and understood where to start and how to be responsible. 5 stars guys.
