A fun afternoon family activity! The trains operate on the 3rd weekend of each month, weather permitting. The miniature trains take 2 laps around the park, winding over and under a few bridges. This weekend due to proximity to the holidays, the train made a stop at the North Pole where children could take photos with Santa, drink hot cocoa, play with model trains, and more. Suggested donation of $2 per person.

Great outing for kids! Every third weekend is free to ride the trains! They were running about 5 trains, with 4-5 passenger cars each train. Each passenger car held 3-5 people depending on size of the party. The train did two laps with each lap running about 5 min. Must meet a height to get on the train and no lap child's allowed on the train. There is also plenty of parking and restroom facilities. There is a little shop selling some toys and refreshments and a canopy setup to sell some grilled food. There are volunteer societies setup for kids to play with toys trains too. Not much shade on the train route so bring some sun cover, sun glasses and sunscreen!

Feedback:

I love this nonprofit place. They host free train rides every third weekend of the month. I especially love their holiday events. Halloween and Christmas usually has other vendor tents like home depot with activities for the children. They have nice holiday decorations. The train rides are about 12 minutes doing 2 loops. Child must be able to walk to ride the trains. They usually have 2 trains going so the line doesn't build up. They have a small store that sells toys, snacks, drinks, etc.

Feedback:

Every third weekend of the month, an amazing group of volunteers come out to Fairview Park and offer free model train rides. This is a really fun activity, and if you get there within the first hour there's hardly a wait. For those with sun sensitivities, bring a light weight sweater to cover up, because the route of the train is unshaded. When you're done playing, there's even a yummy taquero offering 3 taco varieties, tamales, rice and beans. This is a must-do for any train enthusiast!

(Translated by Google) Children's paradise, the big child returns to a happy childhood, the model train is exquisite and cute, I want to take it home, but there is no place to buy it.(Original)小朋友的天堂,大孩子又回到快樂的童年,模型小火車精緻可愛,好想帶回家,可惜沒地方買。
