PAY IN CASH - this place overcharged my card and when looking at the other reviews it looks like they do it regularly maybe with hopes we don't realise. At first they charged me the right amount and then after the tip they charged double - so check the final payment out of your bank account not just the pending one. Food not worth the price whatsoever. Service is SO POOR - I wish I hadn't tipped 20% as they didn't deserve it and ended up causing me more stress by having to chase the over double charge they had made to my account. They did refund the overcharged amount saying it was a mistake by our waiter who I must admit was CARELESS but they need to read these reviews and see there is a pattern here. The stress and effort I had to go to get the overcharged amount back was too much and they didn't offer anything to make up for it! Do yourself a favour - go up the lift look at the views and then leave - don't give this place your tastebuds or money. They're either downright thieves or carelessly negligent - either way they don't deserve our business until they clean up their act!

Feedback:

First and foremost is the unobstructed view of the coast from Santa Monica up to Malibu. From the time you enter the lobby, you are surrounded by a light airy chicky beach vibe. The service can be great, but as some have mentioned, there are times which feel overbooked... with delays. The food has always been great; well prepared and presented and offer a nice selection of drinks and wines.

The water was good. But really, what is the hype here? You pay $40 for a small portion of ok food. The lobster ravioli had the smallest hint of lobster. It could have been imitation crab and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference due to how little the flavor actually came through. The tomatoes were pretty good, but the roe was just way too in your face and didn't balance the dish at all. The tomatoes were nice. Overall the whole thing was bland, and charging the amount they did is laughable. So yeah, the water was literally the best part of the meal.My server was very kind and helpful, especially when it came to serving me the delicious water. The ambiance was ok. The picture shows how dark it was, as most of the light was from the candles, and the picture was taken without flash. If you're wanting great flavors, large portions, and at a fair price, go elsewhere. Every other place I ate at tasted better and gave me more food, at half the price.

Food was fine and the view was great, but that's about where it ended. Service was terrible. Forgot orders, took forever, and oh, also spilled half and half everywhere over two people in the party. I've been in other high end restaurants where if anything of that nature happened, the manager would be there instantly apologizing. Never got a decent apology. Would not cover dry cleaning for a ruined sweater. Absolutely bottom of the barrel service.

Rooftop restaurant/bar with stunning views of the ocean. Love bringing out of town guests whenever they’re visiting Santa Monica. This review is for the lounge during happy hour but know that the restaurant is good too (although pricey, so prepare your wallet). Our server Elizabeth was very friendly and very prompt. You take the elevator up to the Penthouse and it’s happy hour from 4-7pm on weekdays. Most of the time it’s full but you’ll usually be able to find a seat. It’s open seating and there are great views as I mentioned before. Try to go right before sunset so you can watch the sky change colors. Lounge bites are reasonable and so are the cocktails. I like the Moscow mule for being effervescent and light. For apps, I like the salmon crudo a lot. Some people might be put off by the crispy salmon skin but it’s really tasty and you could honestly just eat a plate by yourself. The cheeseburger sliders come in two but they’re sliced in half with a side of chips. The short rib tacos come in three and are mini, and the calamari is nice and crispy (although a tad too salty). Avocado toast is basic, and the charcuterie board is good when you have a large group. Bathrooms are available and the wheelchair friendly one has the best view of the shoreline. They do take credit card and they also can just charge to your room. You may see a minor celeb or two. Overall it’s a good place to bring an out of town friend or whenever you feel like grabbing a drink and having some nice views.

Omg, I came here for a birthday brunch with my fam bam and ahhh I loved it!!!! The view is breathtaking! U see it literally all around because there’s huge windows all over the restaurant. There’s also a HUGE window in the women’s bathroom in the big stall. You can literally sit there do ur business and watch the view. It’s soo dang peaceful!!The view is A++ and the food??? A++ as well!! Everything tasted amazing, it was flavorful and hot right when it came out. The fruit was also nice and ripe and not soggy or old looking/tasting. I loved it!Service was really amazing. We had many of the people who work there ask how we were doing and our waiter checked in on us numerous times to make sure we were okay. I’d def come here again! Highly recommend if you’re thinking of doing a romantic spot or a really nice outing with the fam.

Perfection. Came here on Thanksgiving, so it is not the 'normal' menu, but I was thoroughly impressed. Usually when the ambience is great, the food is terrible. In this instance, ambience was impeccable.. food was perfection, and I am 100% sure that one of my future lucid dreams will involve this place. I am already planning my visits for the rest of the year.

I'll start - this place is gorgeous. Had the opportunity to have dinner here recently. This would be fantastic during the day for lunch/brunch, or cocktails/dinner at sunset. The views would be spectacular. I was quite surprised on how loud this place is - it was a little difficult to hear the table conversation. Maybe the acoustics or design? Parking is a bit of a challenge. I refuse to pay for valet, and considering the location where this hotel is nestled in between high rise apartments, there only permit only parking after a certain time in the evening. I was lucky enough to find walkable parking that wasn't permit only, but during busy times, you're kinda forced to valet it. The food - pretty solid. I ordered the scallops - so tender and juicy. All of the delicate flavors of the sea were preserved. My date ordered the lamb with smoked eggplant - stellar. Service was perfect - attentive and not pushy. Didn't check every five minutes, and made good recommendations. This place is worth checking out - especially if it was busy on a Monday night.

Excellent service. Excellent ambiance. It is impossible to have a bad date here. The bouncers are especially cool. If you're looking to get a head up on the rest, go there at 8 pm, when they switch from dinner to drinks, and you'll beat the line. Also, make friends with the bouncers because they're awesome, and be sure to tip them well. Next time, when you show up with your lady, they'll let you right in, and you'll look like a boss.
