I haven't been here in a few years. I am so grateful to see that this Santa Cruz tradition has not changed. We had the Italian Meatball (the best there is), and the Chicken Pesto sandwiches.To top it off I bought the cheese raviolis with the meat sauce to take home for dinner. It was so delicious. Next time I hope to find the spinach raviolis (my favorite) because they were out.As always, friendly knowledgeable servers all with genuine smiles. Din't ever change a thing! Thank you.

There was a famous Italian deli in Oakland that no longer exists that brought the Flavors of a real East Coast Italian style deli. I was heart broken when the closed their doors. Today when I walked into Zoccolis doors Their food and selection of drinks and sides is incredible! And I'm happy to say I found my place again and will be there every day. Funny thing is I loves here most .y life and somehow never made it in.

The last original family owned Italian delicatessen in Santa Cruz. A local treasure. The best sandwiches, soups and pasta in the county. From the New Yorker Sandwich to the homemade raviolis, everything here is prepared by hand on the spot. I've been a customer for 50 years and will be as long as possible. Very reasonable prices and great quality.

Was in town and had to make sure to eat here again for the second time. The sandwiches are awesome!! And for such a busy place the wait wasnt bad at all when waiting on our food. And the customer service was great as well! They are friendly. And even though they were consistantly busy the workers never seemed stressed out. I think one reason is cuz they always seemed very well staffed and everyone was pulling their weight and doing their part. Very well organized!! Definately returning in the future!

Went here while on my visit to Santa Cruz the place always had a steady flow of customers and the food is absolutely delicious I kick myself for not going sooner and enjoying it more than I did, but at least I did go once... I recommend this place hands down for locals and visitors alike price is reasonable if I were to visit Santa Cruz I would definitely go back

I've been in here a few times now. It's almost always busy. The staff are friendly and the subs are tasty for their price. Try the BLAST if you like BLTs. The potato salad and pasta salad are both quite bland, thought I'd give them a try, eh. My only complaint is, instead of toasting the hot subs they MICROWAVE them. Makes the bread all soggy. My meatball sub was falling apart more than it should haha. I suggest getting a cold sub.

Avoid the gluten free bread đŸ¤®I was excited to get the Mediterranean sandwich on gluten free bread when my company was getting a lunch brought in. Unfortunately the bread was dismal. The edges were rock hard, it's dry, and you end up getting a sandwich that is about 2/3 the size of a normal one and you have to pay more for it. Unfortunate to mention, but later on I came to dread my decision and got sick anyway.

Zoccolis is always a great spot to go if you are downtown and looking for lunch. The ingredients are fresh always, and they have great fresh bread as well. They have great side salads, or premade sandwiches as well. I love their marinated mushrooms. They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from, and they have a good number system that keeps the customers flowing since they are always busy.My only qualms are that they have a lack of seating for people who want to sit down and eat there, so most people just take it to go. They have outdoor seating but it fills up very quickly and also people who are just walking down the street have access to take a table as well.

I wish I could give them 6 stars! Love all of their food and great service. Friendly staff and they get the sandwiches out in a timely manner even though it’s always really busy. Their meatball Italiano sub is so good! I get it almost every time but I always grab a bite of what my family gets as well- all of their food is amazing. Great place to try out if visiting Santa Cruz and decent prices as well. You really get what you pay for here.
