I entered the restaurant simply because there was a review that says someone drove 2.5 hours to eat their food. It turned out the food does not even meet my minimum standard which is pretty low- I'm the guy who would be satisfied with ayce sushies. I've ordered Chirashi and Ika(Squid) nigrizushi. Basically they don't understand what Chirashi is. Fishes in the chriashi was okay but rice was undercooked and dry. Also they seasoned the rice with Furikake which you don't normally expect from a sushi restaurant. The ika sushi was very chewey and I'm sure they knew it because as you can see in the picture, the sushi man made a lot of cuttings on the flesh to make it softer. and of course the squid had fishy taste. Finally the sushi man and the lady who seemed to be the owner had an argument in front of me in Korean language while I was eating. the argument was about the sushi man putting too much of fish in my $15 chirashi bowl which the owner actually charged me $18 at the casher because she didn't think I understood their language. It just a bad sushi place. there are a plenty of better choices on sushi restaurants in the hood. This is not the one I would go.

Had dinner here last night, Thursday November 29, 2018. I’ve eaten here several times before and enjoyed the sushi but last night was different. Within an hour of eating I had a horrible stomach problem that lasted thru the night into the next morning. Today my stomach has been better but still not right. I Went with a co-worker and the two of us showed up to work late this morning after having the same problem. I thought it was just me until hearing the same story from my co-worker this morning. It had to be one of the ingredients in one of the rolls we shared. I don’t think I’m going to risk eating here again. 🤢 it was busy when we left about 8pm, I hope no other customers suffered in the same way. 😟

I usually like this place but dont go 30 minutes before closing because they won't do to go orders. I was told they were low on fish, BUT I WASN'T EVEN GOING TO ORDER FISH. I wanted teriyaki chicken and California rolls. So i went to another joint that had no problem staying open after closing to complete my order and I got there ten minutes before closing. Because of this one experience I will never go back to Yanagi. One and Done!!!

"WARNING" this sushi place must Close for business, i should give it a -0 review...1.Very bad customer service, 2. food are not fresh specially the sushi, 3.chefs dont washed their hands before making sushi4. Very expensive for a small sushi place and the lunch is not even special, they will charge you double 5. Dirty bathrooms...list goes on and onPls i beg you Dont waste your money on this place, its all left overs

I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. It is still owned by the same couple. I have met their entire family since each one of them have worked there at one time or another.There has been a lot of changes in the shopping center over the years with different stores and restaurants coming and going but they managed to stay in business. It's probably because they have a lot of loyal customers.The restaurant is basically a fast food type Japanese restaurant where you order your food at the counter and then sit down. They do have a sushi bar where sushi chefs prepare your sushi upon request if that's more to your liking.This a great restaurant to visit for lunch if you work nearby. It is very affordable.

I found this place when I first started working in the nearby business park, then it was Great Western Bank. Therefore, its been years and years ago. Time went on, and I relocated jobs time-after-time. I now work nearby and decided to re-visit a familiar place. In short, this place is still Awesome! It was like I never left!I had the lunch special, which was six dollars and some change, which came with: Chicken Teriyaki, tempura, two California rolls, salad, and steamed rice. All of this was for the price of a drive through.The customer service is very good, and I was able to have a peaceful lunch having a delicious meal.If you are in the area, then you have to stop in!

This place is superb! I have been to a ton of Sushi spots and I think I now have my number 1! Place is very reasonable, the fish is very fresh and tasty. The Sushi Chef overheard me talking about my stomach issues( I have Crohn's disease) and he made everything we wanted to order! Now that's service and love for patrons! We got the Red Dragon Roll and it is amazing! Also we got some Tuna Sashimi and a baked California roll! The service was amazing and this place just rocks!
