Another 5-star review for 18 Grams underway.My brother and I were in Sacramento for the holidays, and we stopped by 18 Grams after a workout at Crunch. Kinda counterproductive, but whatever haha. Elk Grove had nothing like this when I still lived there, and there's always a new establishment for us to visit. Good job, Elk Grove! Stepping into 18 Grams didn't feel like the Elk Grove I remember. It had the feel of the coffee shops in Midtown Sac with the rustic interior, and I had high hopes for the drinks they offer. The barista at the counter, I can't remember her name, was very welcoming and friendly. She didn't rush me at all when taking my order. I mentioned that I was visiting the area for the holidays, and she was very genuine in asking where I currently live and all that. It felt like chatting with a new friend.On to the order! I decided on a honey lavender latte and subbed in almond milk. The hint of lavender was just right; floral did not overpower this drink. And the almond milk subbed in well with the rest of the drink.If I still lived in Elk Grove, this would definitely be a place I'd frequent. It's the perfect coffee shop to get some work done or catch up with someone special. Next time we're visiting, we're definitely coming back! I'll have to try out their other drinks.
