Their coffee does not suit my personal taste for some reason, but I like coming here because I can enjoy my drinks in a mug/glass and not create much waste as a result. However, when I ask for no straw, the staff often forget and give me one anyway. Not sure if the owners/staff reads these reviews, but how about letting the customer get the straw rather than automatically putting it in the drink?

Been my go to coffee shop for more than a year now. The employees are great and friendly; they also know my drink as well as I go almost everyday here. My usual is the ice white mocha with condensed milk with sweet cream on top, very high sugar intake yes, but very addicting. Very friendly atmosphere as well. I usually hang out for a hour here with my friends to just relax. They have a bench now for outside seating as well as 2 chairs and a mini table/stool for your drinks. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Great environment for a nice cup of coffee and chatting with friends. Loved the customer service. Staff and owners are very nice and friendly. But the coffees is okay. I ordered two coffees; the Americana which is surprisingly sweet and espresso is overly bitter. But overall, I would definitely go back and give it another try.

It's has a very was atmosphere. Gorgeous mural on one wall. Interesting teas, charcoal lavender lemonade, Vietnamese hazelnut iced coffee, and matcha that's just a few of the things they offer, along with pastries. They tailored a drink for me making a hazelnut, Cayenne, cinnamon latte. I couldn't taste the flavors though so that was a little disappointing but it was a great place to hang out. I was there for over two hours. I will definitely be going back.

Another 5-star review for 18 Grams underway.My brother and I were in Sacramento for the holidays, and we stopped by 18 Grams after a workout at Crunch. Kinda counterproductive, but whatever haha. Elk Grove had nothing like this when I still lived there, and there's always a new establishment for us to visit. Good job, Elk Grove! Stepping into 18 Grams didn't feel like the Elk Grove I remember. It had the feel of the coffee shops in Midtown Sac with the rustic interior, and I had high hopes for the drinks they offer. The barista at the counter, I can't remember her name, was very welcoming and friendly. She didn't rush me at all when taking my order. I mentioned that I was visiting the area for the holidays, and she was very genuine in asking where I currently live and all that. It felt like chatting with a new friend.On to the order! I decided on a honey lavender latte and subbed in almond milk. The hint of lavender was just right; floral did not overpower this drink. And the almond milk subbed in well with the rest of the drink.If I still lived in Elk Grove, this would definitely be a place I'd frequent. It's the perfect coffee shop to get some work done or catch up with someone special. Next time we're visiting, we're definitely coming back! I'll have to try out their other drinks.

I now have been here numerous times and the coffee/espresso is beyond delicious. The baristas consistent pour and drink result and espresso flavor is what keeps me coming back.. there are so many delicious drinks available but my most FAVORITE is the salted caramel iced coffee...it's literally impossible to keep from drinking it in less than 10min. So so sooooo yummy!!!

I tried 18 Grams because it was recommended to me by a friend. I was certainly impressed. I order a Vietnamese Hazelnut Coffee with light ice for $4.00 and the guys says if you want light ice it’ll have to be a short. I said that was fine. The next time I try a drink, I ordered the same thing and the same grumpy guy says that’ll be a short for the same price $4.00 which should be a small. This time he hands me a drink with less milk in it and it’s shorter than a short. First of all he’s fussing over extra milk because he can’t add extra ice and save what he’s actually adding into the drink. Second of all he’s reducing the size of my drink to make up for light ice but proceeded to give me less than a short. I was done with this place. They obviously are fussing over small amounts of ice and milk. The drinks are very yummy but for such a trendy hip place they’re cheap and fighting over light ice. Good quality coffee but totally overpriced. If I’m desperate I’ll return but for a $4.00 coffee that’s small like a shot, I’ll pass. I’ll stick to Dutch Brothers or Starbucks it make my own.

This is a new gem in Elk Grove. Their concoctions are very innovative. There is something for everyone in the menu. Not being able to drink coffee too often, I was pleasantly surprised with their tea options. The place is well decorated. Will be coming here often.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This place! I will always make the drive to get my favorite splurge! Their coffee is my by far my favorite. Their espresso is extremely smooth, but strong. They have some very unique flavors, and a wide variety of amazing teas as well. Family owned and the owners are extremely friendly. Located near Old Elk Grove, this is a must try hidden gem!
