6/30/16- We have used Always Best Care for the last 2 yrs for my husband who has ALS. The caregiver that we had was terrific and we love her. She worked with my husband 5 evenings a week feeding him and getting him to bed. One evening our caregiver did not show up because she was pulled to be on another case. No one notified me. I had to call the company to find out that she was not coming. This was several months ago. Then a couple of days ago, the caregiver called me and told me she would not be in that evening because she was pulled off my husbands care to work for another client 8 hrs a day and that she would not be returning to care for my husband. The caregiver needed this position since she had been laid off from her full time position a couple weeks ago. I totally understand that she needs full time work. Once again the company did not notify me of this complete change. I had to call them and they stated that that was what the caregiver wanted. They had made no arrangements for my husbands care and could not understand why I was upset. The attitude was totally unprofessional and not caring. I believe they will go with the client that will provide them with the most revenue with no regard to the other patient. They basically dropped my husbands care with no after thought . They would not authorize our caregiver to train someone for my husband until I raised the roof but by then my husband did not want to deal with Always Best Care at all. I am saddened that there is a company out there that is not devoted to its patients and their care and that others may have the same experience with them.
