If you’re reading reviews for Backcountry Cannabis you’re likely comparing BCC to Soma so you can find the best deal, friendliest staff, best selection, and overall best experience. Let me tell you right now to stop reading and just go to Soma. I took what I hoped would be a short trip to BCC and was greeted by being told I needed to present my ID. Understandable. So I did. After looking at my ID for 15 seconds of silence I was asked my birthday - which I gave, and the address on the ID - which I gave. I was told afterwards that the ID looked strange and that “Texas” IDs change all the time so maybe that’s why there was an issue.1. Our IDs do not often change. At all. My ID was identical to the ID of the person I walked in with in respect to format.2. I gave my address correctly and was told I didn’t. Either because the guy looking at it could not read or could not hear because he was too high, himself.I was then told to wait while they called the marshals to check the ID. Was told that if the ID checked out they would hook me up with a sweet deal - Quote. They followed that with a very accusatory “and if it is fake you should just get out now”. So kind. Later, after the guy who checked the ID in the first place realized he messed up, he immediately starts going back on what he said, claiming the ID was “probably” real and when I asked about the address confirmation (knowing I gave it right the first time) I was just told to “not worry about it”.Horrible staff, very accusatory, waste of time. Go to Soma.

The people who work here are very helpful, knowledgeable, casual while maintaining a professional demeanor. The three different bud tenders who helped me while in CB were an absolute pleasure to deal with! By far, I think it's the best dispensary in the Gunnison / Crested Butte area. There's no tiered pricing, the prices are as competitive as it gets, and the quality is top shelf. If I was in the market to open a similar shop I'd use Backcountry Cannabis as a template for how it should be done. I'd never been to a dispensary before this trip to Colorado and BCC wasn't my first stop unfortunately. I guess it's good that I have something to make some comparisons between shops & I did eventually find BCC so I have no complaints about gaining a new education, even if it cost me a bit more.

Hi, i'm from the Netherlands and i've watched the serie on the dutch television.It is an inspiration to see those two work there butts off! On a daily bases. I got my own construction company and i know what hard work is. When i was watching i thought i have to get on a plain to help.
