Like many other people here, they fraudulently charged me for an office visit when it should have been $0 for a preventative visit. Red flags went up, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I received the surprise inflated bill a few weeks later. ....After paying a $30 copay. >>I already realized they charge higher than average $$ for the area, but was willing to overlook that for a high quality of care. This visit included no treatment, however, and should have been $0 to me, via insurance << Unfortunately they are refusing to correct this error, so their actions are intentionally unethical. With new insurance in hand, I went in for a preventative visit to find a new doc and tell her my medical history. So if an issue does arise, it would be easier to see her for treatment. Based on a few sketchy billing-related yelp reviews, I went in hyper alert, and told literally every person I interacted with that I had no new issues, and I was only there for a preventative visit. I also voiced my concern about one particular yelp complaint where a person went in for a visit, got booked with another doc, but they didn't tell her the 'other' doc didn't take her insurance...and received an outrageously high bill weeks later. She reassured saying that would never happen (but it did before), and that they would make sure to schedule me with someone who did take the same insurance if I needed to see someone while she was out.The appointment itself was actually fine; I left with high hopes of having found my doctor for the foreseeable future. When discussing my history, the doc offered to refill a few prescriptions. I said I was good on one, but sure go ahead and write 2 of the 3 for now (no urgency). I would not have requested these refilled without her offer.Because of her suggestion to refill, which I now believe to be intentional shiftiness, they tried to charge $300 for the brief preventative visit. After a bunch of back and forth, I'm done giving them chances. We can resolve this legally. It seems especially strange that they are refusing to correct this given (a) how relatively small in the grand scheme of medical billing this is and (b) this is easily disprovable: I have the past records, and my insurance company agrees with me. It is rare when your insurance company is the good guy...but they are willing to fight for me on this.Integrity is huge for me, so when people boldly try to take advantage of others using the already complicated health industry, it drives me mad. If they are willing to do this to me, what other shady things are they pulling?! I was hoping that it was a mistake, and they would fix it on their end. Still stressful and time consuming, but fine. But alas.I plan to file complaints with the attorney general, department of health, etc. And will also pursue this legally. They owe me my $30 back.Don't trust these people. They have no qualms being unethical.

I have been going here for close to 10 years. I cannot say enough good things about the care I receive on a continual bases. I see Dr. Fox. I have from day one felt she was dedicated to helping me have the best quality of life I can even with a number of medical issues that can make navigation tough. Because of her my cancer was caught early and dealt with. I feel 100 percent heard when discussing my concerns. I hope to never have to find another PCP. Thanks Dr. Fox Asleigh and team that work hard at giving superior care in the medical field. You make a difference.

I am so extremely upset with my doctor. I had a terrible case of strep throat last month. My doctor said the tests they ran came up negative, well that was clearly wrong. The throat swab was not showing anything, most likely a dud test so they ASSUMED it was a negative test. Cultivator test, well they never got back to me. The next day I was way worse, spitting into a cup, consisted of mucus, blood and tonsil stones, couldn't eat or drink a thing, let alone swallow my own saliva! Next day I was even more worse!! I was in tears! I ended up going to the emergency walk in and they said they did not understand why I had no antibiotics... I was what they said to be "one of the worst cases of strep throat" they have ever seen! I took my first dose of antibiotics and felt improved within just a few hours, such relief! I had to miss 2 days of work, no sick pay because my doctor really messed up! Everytime I go in when I need something for being extremely sick, he calls it a virus and says he can't do anything, I go somewhere else, it's always the opposite.I'm finding a new doctor

The front desk staff needs to do their job properly of informing patients what they would be charged for. I went in for a first time visit to initiate care and based on a medical condition written on the history form, which was not my chief complaint, they decided to bill $120 that my insurance did not cover. This is after I paid $30 copay for a 5 minute visit with the doctor. Absolutely unethical and I shall be reporting them to the department of health. Highly disappointing!

Absolutely terrible experience. All I wanted was a refill for my prescription. The receptionist advised me that it would be better if I came and saw the Doctor first. Well, turns out they billed me improperly and charged 231 dollars plus a 30 dollar copay! When I called Aetna, they let me know that had the facility billed it as a yearly visit, I would not be under this financial burden. I had to call 3 times to finally get to the office manager, who callously informed me that I might not be used to the American Health Care system since most of my health care needs are met in Canada. Now, after making all the payments they still wont release my prescription as needed. I am pretty sure this is against the law. I highly recommend going to a health care provider who takes their oath seriously and puts their patients first.

I'm sure everyone else here is fine. I called because my Dr. Office branch wouldn't answer their phone, and I wondered if the number had changed. The receptionist was impatient and told me I called the wrong number. I explained that no one answered when I called the number that was saved in my phone that I've used for years. She restated the number and also rudely said that I called the wrong office.I was only wondering if the number had changed, and if it hadn't, why didn't anyone pick up. Maybe they closed early? Maybe it's a busy time? But instead she interrupted me and said thank you bye.I potentially have a broken foot and was just trying to reach my Dr who is through family care network. I get that people have bad days, but that was very discouraging and I'll probably not make an appointment today because I'm upset and hate making phone calls to begin with.

I have seen 3 doctors from this place and all have been wonderful. They like to know how your personal life is going and generally care about you and want to help with whatever they can. The only thing I don't like is that they can't do very many tests here or many quick procedures so they have to refer you to someone else a lot. Waiting time isnt bad. If i show up early i usualy will get in early unless they are having a very busy day.

I switched to this office from a much larger one and I am so glad I did! I have seen many doctors here and my whole family now goes here as well. The staff is super friendly, efficient, and reliable. One of my favorite aspects of this office is that if you have a medical question after hours, they have a doctor on call and you can reach them directly with one phone call! This has been a lifesaver having little kids when I've needed to know whether to go to the ER or not. Overall, this is a very professional office and I have had good experiences with every visit over the last 5 years.

Want to pay to be told to go somewhere else? Bay Family Medicine is the place for you then. Want to hear nurses and doctors complain about their job? You've come to the right spot. I do not understand how this place is still in business. Our "clinical visit summary" was a referral that DIDN'T ACTUALLY GET DONE to a very well known doctor who does not require referrals. Good thing when the doctor came in his main pieces of advice consisted of not being scared of needles and how he can't wait to retire. I wish I was kidding. Really disappointing and needless to say I will be doing everything in my power to avoid this place of business from now on. Do not waste money here.

I wish I could leave zero stars. I went in under the impression from the staff that I would be getting my blood drawn to check my horomone levels because they SAID that's what they would be doing, only to be told to go to Peace Health. When I DID get to Peace Health, they didn't even have a referral for me from the office, and had to call for me. It was a waste of time, money, and energy and I will not be going here again, especially when I found out you can get your blood drawn for the same price (depending on insurance) at the Cornwall Walk In Clinic as coming here for a fake referral. So angry, don't make this your regular practitioner.
