I have been a customer for 20 years. The price was good but they just increased my coverage $700 w/o a good reason. "Everyone's went up". I call mutual, "call your broker". I call my broker. "I don't see why it went up?". Everyone passes the buck. And the billing dept, nastiest attitudes ever! I was rear-ended 6 years ago, the case is still ongoing. It has been such a battle and i have received no help at all. Well I guess i get what i pay for.... 🤨

I been a mutual benefits policyholder policyholder for the past 8 years I recently had a comprehensive loss under my auto coverage and the adjuster who I dealt with offered some strange advice. The auto shop inspected the vehicle and gave an estimate . They advised Adjuster that the car was not drivable. The shop informed the adjuster that due to the damage the car would not be safe to drive .Adjuster then inform the shop that they should tape the car up where the damage occurred so it would be drivable and I would not need a rental car. In spite of me paying for rental reimbursement under my coverage . They finally agreed to a rental car but never sent the check and when I was unable to pick up the car I was informed that the check was in the mail and I should pay for the car myself since the rental would be canceled that day. I am retired and have been in the claims business for 45 years 20 of which was a claims manager and I'm well aware how a claim department should operate. I plan to contact my agent and cancel my coverage with mutual benefits. I would suggest a more thorough training program in customer service for your adjusters.

ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN THE POOREST EXCUSE FOR A INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!!MY FAMILY HAS BEEN WITH THEM FOR 60 PLUS YEARS NEVER EVER LATE ON PAYMENTS AND 2 WEEKS AGO WAS THE VERY FIRST CLAIM THAT WE HAVE EVER MADE.THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ENDLESS AND FAR TO MANY TO EVEN LIST. I AM APPALLED THAT IT TOOK 2 WEEKS FOR AN APPROVAL.WE WILL BE DROPPING THEM ASAP SO BEWARE IF YOUR CONSIDERING OR ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!Mr Kreiger... I just read your review and they are doing the same thing to us also even though we pay for rental car service while our car Is being fixed they have made up every excuse to not give us a rental. It will take over a month til our car will be repaired and "oh well they could care a less"It's a very sad and frustrating situation and I'm sorry to hear your going through this as well. Goodluck.

Absolutely hands down the worst insurance company. I got into an accident with someone who has this insurance company. They said my car was a total loss they sent me paper work to fill out not explaining what to do and when i sent them the wrong thing and they had an aditude with me. I spent over 75 dollars for over night shiping. Plus 700 dollars for a rental car bcs it took so long. I overnighted everything i need to get this check and even verified with them on wednesday its now saturday and no check. I cant even aford the rental anymore its taking all of my paychecks. I might even loose my job over this. DO YOUR JOB.

I paid for a whole year upfront. Never filed a claim of course no accidents. After the year was over i tried to renew and they put me back on a monthly. So I paid that month and the next month no bill was sent. I called the agent and they said I’ve been dropped and that several bills have been mailed to me months ago which they have not! Today I finally received those bills and I took a pic of the post mark date and sent to my agent to prove I wasn’t lying. Terrible company. Because of the lapse in coverage because of them I have to pay almost double now with another company. Very very bad disorganized company!

Reading the bad reviews made me want to comment. I have been dealing with and have Mutual Benefit Insurance for a long time. Their coverage's and pricing are excellent. If I have ever needed customer service, I call my agent. If I end up calling the actual company if my agent is not available I have never had a problem, they are always very courteous. Being in the customer service business myself, I can bet that the customer wasn't getting what they wanted and began to get rude first. Plus, you cannot expect the insurance company to give you more for your vehicle if it is not valued at a higher amount. That is the way insurance works. I would recommend Mutual Benefit Insurance to anyone I know!

These people are EVIL. They canceled my insurance after 8 years because I paid my bill 3 business days late. No warning. Not even the courtesy of a damn phone call from my agent. They just canceled it and now I have to pay $1500 more per year. Now they are trying to bill me for three weeks of insurance after the cancellation that I never agreed to! I have filed a complaint with the state insurance commission, but I doubt it will do any good. Do NOT buy insurance from these evil people!

Rude customer service and don’t want to pay when you make a claim! My truck was a total loss and had 75000 miles on it but when they sent the comparables they put in 100000 mile so that was $4000 less than it should be and they talk to you like you know nothing and they are always correct. I will take my auto insurance, home and business insurance some where else. Do not insure you stuff with them you will be sorry trust me!

If I could give negative stars I would! A driver insurred by MBG rear ended my spouse and totaled her car. MBG is refusing to accept fault. This in turn is delaying the time it takes to receive my deductible. I now have an extra car payment every month that I did not have before due to her car was paid in full. An extra monthly payment and they can't even accept fault. Let me say this again. Your driver REAR ENDED my spouse while she was stopped at an intersection, and you are refusing to accept fault. These are unfair practices, UDAAP.
