I don't ever leave reviews but I feel I have to warn people to stay away from this coffee shop. My friends and I came here having just landed in the city and looking for somewhere nice to catch up and relax. There were ten of us, but we are a quiet bunch, not at all rowdy tourists. This place looked like just what we wanted. We ordered a couple of joints and a few coffees with the intention to order more once we'd sat down and had a smoke. Suddenly the server (old, silver haired lady), came up and started telling us off like school kids. I initially thought it must be a joke as we were just quietly talking. She shouted at us for not ordering enough, for taking up space and for being 'like children and not using our heads'. We are not used to being told off at all, so this intense berating left us shocked and confused. After she marched off, the other people who were sat upstairs apologised for her (they didn't need to), and assured us they didn't mind our being there. It was really strange and we decided we should leave. As we did so, we were then jeered at by a friend of the server (or possibly he too worked there) who shouted, 'nobody wants you here, you're not welcome here' to which the silver haired server laughed. I have NEVER come across this sort of rudeness, and as a group of people visiting a new city, it really made us feel anxious and, as the man catcalled at us, 'unwanted'. I know that large groups of tourists can be tricky but we were absolutely and clearly not those kind of trouble makers. Please do not visit this establishment, deeply unpleasant people work here and frequent it. The worst experience I've ever had in a cafe.Visited August 2017
