Knowledgable and helpful staff... Used to be better with medical product selection and pricing but for the past few months, their menu has been quite disappointing. At first I thought it was because of shortage of cannabis but then realized it's not the case since the dispensary I switched to, a few miles away, doesn't seem to have those issues. I'm hoping they will change back to the way things were, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I drove more than 80 miles round trip to get the product for my son who has a severity disability, the people were very rude they acted like they were doing you a favor with the exception of the lady on the front desk. I hope I don't have to come back to that place I did it because my current Mundelein dispensary didn't have the product. Before I drove there I called 6 times no one bothered to answer the phone to answer the questions I had before driving there.

I was happy until today. It seems like lately the quality and actual inventory has been going down. But since I was able to get most of my items I was OK with it. I visited the dispensary because of an e-mail promotion giving a discount for online orders. I could not get the promotion to be reflected on the cart online, so I decided to go in for my items. As I was purchasing my items I asked the clerk if they were going to honor the promotion and was told “no”. I explained how I tried to order online without success and still was denied the promotion. Instead of working with me, I got rushed out with a sorry we can’t. I’ve been a loyal customer for a while now and I am very disappointed in the treatment I was given.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEWalked in to the front window, they asked for my ID, then was told to wait in a tiny room for my name to be called. On a table there was a sheet of paper showing the availability of rec "product" which was laughable-- maybe 1 or 2 items on that list, to my recollection-- like 'gummies' and some other junk. I was thinking that perhaps the list was not all-inclusive, so I waited for my turn.I was then called in to a back room and was rather rudely and smugly asked AGAIN for my ID (which I had already shown in the front as part of the pre-screening process and there was only 1 other customer there at the time so what's up with that?!) by some guy with a goatee and kind of a smooth complexion (I'm just telling you this for descriptive purposes since I was not given his name). He looked over my ID like a bouncer in a bar and then asked what I was looking for. I asked [what's available , do you have tinctures] and he rather rudely and smugly replied ['just what's on that sheet']. How insulting.Just that chintzy sheet. Whaaaa?! . And the way he treated me was downright insulting. I have to concur with one of the other reviewers here; it kind of felt to me like I was talking to a back-alley drug dealer.I just told him I was not interested, and he clearly didn't give a hoot.THIS is what you call customer service?! I will never go back to this joint, and when the competition (hopefully) heats up later this year and rec product availability improves, it wouldn't break my heart if these guys end up with zero market share.Bottom line: If you like wasting your time and being treated rudely, come here. In that case, you'll be glad you did.

Update: 3/12/2020This place was great when it was for medical card holders. Given 4 Stars for the service I was given before it served to recreational users. I've never walked in without buying anything till now... I've been going here for 2+yrs. They treat me like family. Thanks Columbia!

I went on Saturday 3/7/20 morning. Arrived 20 minutes before opening. Waited in line with mine other people. They let medical card holders in first.It was quick and efficient and secure. The website is up to date with current offerings. No flower or pre-rolled available for customers without a medical marijuana card. Vapes and a decent selection of edibles are available. It's pricey as expected. It's a clean professional environment. The staff is polite and helpful.

A dispensary? With no flower? Wouldn't that be extremely helpful information to PUT ON A WEBSITE?! That you have but obviously do not maintain. Or maybe on your automated voice message since not one of the 4 desk people can be bothered answer the phone to answer questions. Thank you for not only wasting my time but my money too because i had to order an uber to get there and back.

They gotta start updating their website and pick up the phone calls ( could of saved me time by coming ). The website says and list's their recreational weed but once you go they don't got none. And yes I am aware that there's medical and recreational weed. I always click on recreational and it shows me what they have. These dispensaries ain't nothing compared to the ones in California and Nevada.

Important. I started my patronage at Colombia Care one year ago, gave a sterling first impression review, and have been a loyal patron of the place since. This is an update regarding my 2019 as a customer. I did my due diligence researching a dispensary choice and have maintained tabs on the status of alternate dispensaries in Illinois. Throughout 2019, Colombia Care won out in its field, all things considered. Pick any area of shopping and the dispensary was great if not the best. As for the paramount quality of what product they make available, here medical patients have had a continuum of strengths and forms to choose from while other dispensaries were selling only teenths or none to medical patients! As a point of fact to future patients, my best ever orders have been my latest orders. For some immediate feedback, this is how my last purchase went: Street parking out front, no waiting outside, five minutes waiting inside, my turn and I get an eighth of Verano Motorbreath flower at 34% THC, a Verano Super Glue cartridge at 91% THC, two Mile High Mint bars, and two orange chocolate bars, each at less cost than any other dispensary! Mmmmmph!

I love Columbia Care. Best dispensary. Best deals. However... You can definitely tell who is there to help patients and who is there to sell weed. It's very disconcerting when it feels like I'm talking to a drug dealer.... Please remember it's patients you're treating. For the most part, the staff is absolutely amazing and makes you feel right at home. I can tell they're tired sometimes but they always put in 110% effort. I won't name name's if the shoe fits you know who you are.
